I can confirm that's it's the defensive strategy. I've switched from Constant pressure to balanced and the guys keep in shape better.

Ya, you can tweak a few things, I'm not using exactly what they have, brought pass error down for example. Keeper ability is up to like 62... trying reduce the amount of goals in games. I play 9 min halves on slow... so ya

It's dumb. And when you play international matches the stamina for players is better. I think they decreased stamina for online play, which makes sense, but it affected the career mode. Just dumb. FIFA 18 was really good and they F'd this up so much somehow and keep making it worse.

That's ridiculous. They gear this game towards online play, then put all these new features in... can't even use them except against AI and the odd in person human vs human game.

Well, I may have to take that back. I've only been in tight games now since the patch. 2-1, 1-1, 3-1, 0-0, 2-1, 2-1 could be coincidence. Still on 9min halves.

I found this to be true in FIFA 18 too. I usually only go to Defensive and Ultra Defensive type play with a 2 or 3 goal lead or more and super late in the game to make sure I have defenders in the box to stop crosses/corners.
