OK I get you. Yes divisions is just a loose construct when it comes to matchmaking. And the matchmaking itself was loosened last year to allow for more location based games and to ease inactivity at certain times.
Old gen feels smoother, but the gameplay is a random mess as always. New gen has a clunkier, but more realistic feel, and random BS gameplay is noticeably less frequent (still there but old gen is a circus) Im still assessing the differences before I commit to one or the other tbh. The game is currently alot closer to a proper football video game like it should be. We have all gotten so used to the arcade style fifa points simulator that they serve up every year. But don't worry, that versions coming.
Game feels brilliant to me, you have to work harder and think ahead about your dribbling. Feels rewarding and like a proper football game. People are just complaing it's not the same as before, why should players feel like ballerinas? I'm OK with the heavier feeling, it's the same for your opponent.
