All tokens in one hit is a great idea. The speed at which the power curve accelerates in the next 2 months is ridiculous. If EA keep it the same, what they release as swaps on day one of icon swaps 3 (mid-end April) will not be as viable come the end of tots.
As others have said, use the wide areas and your goalkeeper’s distribution to a tall player (ideally upfront). FUT is obviously not like real life, but there is a reason why keepers with great distribution have become prevalent recently - they help kill a high press.
It must be your first time in the Elite division. Out of curiosity, what did you expect people to playing like? What players did you think they’d be using? People are sheep, they always going to follow the path of least resistance to get to what they want. That is how FUT has been for years.
Mixed year, a few decent ones but by and large lots of high rated fodder cards. The lack of top tier icon sbcs is really poor from EA, given how many extremely juiced cards there already are in the game what’s the point in waiting till June/July/August to release them.
We’re unfortunately at that stage in the game where most teams start looking identical. The meta has developed, the top cards/styles have been established. Tots usually freshens things up, fingers crossed.
Not surprised that people quitting has become a thing. You combine FOMO, competitive game modes, a toxic community and fifa becoming almost a full time job you get what we have now. Between objectives, silvers, icon swaps, friendly cups, Rivals and then weekend league - if you’re willing to sit through full games to…
TOTY Messi for me. In decent gameplay his burst of speed, left stick dribble, finesse shots, passing and finishing is perfect for a CAM. If he had 5* skills then he’d be close to as unstoppable as there is. I can imagine PIM Cruyff being unreal and possibly better but I haven’t used him so can’t comment.
I personally cannot stand playing on anything other than 71+ depth. With the auto-drop back feature on next gen, it’s almost a necessity, especially if you don’t want to get pinned in. Having the tactics on that depth has also stopped defenders retreating(like you’ve posted) back further and playing everyone onside.
I’m not going to go as far the whole ‘I’m not going to buy the game next year etc’, I love football & gaming so until there’s decent alternatives (we’re still 2/3 years from that) Fifa or whatever it’s called next year will be a thing. As for this year, for me it’s just a culmination of a crazy high power curve and cheaper…
