1080 or 720p

I've switched From my older TV to a 1080in a different and it's a hell of a lot slower, almost lagging in button delay although it's so much better. When I switch the output back to 720 it's noticeably quicker. Anyone had this before and sorted because really don't fancy constantly switching between the two. It's only fifa too. Other games play fine. This is not a iag complaint btw, just a genuine question

The resolution doesn't matter.... what you should always be checking is refresh rate and display delay....

you want to be looking for 1ms and 144hz (next gen will have games on 120fps)

1080i will always give you input delay mate.

For gaming you're far better off with 720p.

    1080p > 720p > 1080i - for gaming

For still images, 1080i looks as good as 1080p, but for motion, i.e movies and games 1080i won't be as good as 720p because of the interlacing system in 1080i.
1080i causes input lag in games.

So either keep switching or buy a new display device :)

Take it back there is. Hidden away in general settings rather than display.

Had a look at refresh rate switched from 60hz to 50hz and its playing so much better now. Cheers

Happy days, give that a try and I'm sure it'll be much better for you. Can't play Fifa without the gaming mode as it's so bad.
