Some nice picks folks... Enjoyed reading through them 😊
Especially the people who actually read the part where I said "obscure icons" 😂

    But still lots of suggestions

    Got some more myself tbh.

    - O. Mellberg (Villa & Sweden legend)
    - S. Petrov (Celtic & Villa)
    - P. Aimar (phenomenal at Benfica)
    - G. Pallister (Utd Legend)
    - J. Cole (extremely talented and won lots)
    - D. Duff (same as above)
    - F. Toldo (Italian masterclass & Inter)
    - S. Wiltord (amazing for France, and seems forgotten about when talking about arsenal players who contributed massively)
    - G. Silva (everyone talks about how good Vieira was, but his partner in midfield was massively underrated)

By obscure I'm thinking along the lines of players who done either amazing at international level or club level (singular) or both... But doesn't often get mentioned when you think "icon" of the game... Like the players above, they were incredible players who won a lot, but often get overlooked or even forgotten about

Was in the game previous years, was a class act and not really underrated when he played. But definitely a player who's forgotten about

    I’m not biased 😜😜

    What's the connection?

I thought it was Glasgow Rangers, but my RFC history isn't great.

Gazza is a really strange exclusion.

He would fit the meta reasonably well, with his dribbling and decent pace.

Certainly, I'd say, he is iconic...at least for the English - just as Litmanen is iconic to Finns or Laudrup to the Danes.

Cole and duff would be amazing

Would love to see duff and robben running the wings at the bridge again 💙 best wing partnership I've ever personally witnessed.

It’s not strange though, is it? We both know why he’s not included and never will be.

    Duff was top drawer.

Did Robben replace him outright or did the actually play together?

    My Chelsea history isn't great.

Duff was LW and robben on the right. Only had two seasons of it unfortunately, robbens injuries got the best of him and malouda came in for an aging duff. Huge love and respect for Damian at the bridge still tho

    Jisung Park would be awesome.

    For my 3 obscure icons:
    1. Shunsuke Nakamura
    2. Tim Howard
    3. Clint Dempsey
  • Neville Southall
    Alan Ball
    Kanchelskis.

I would just love to have a club legends theme, rather than icons personally.

I'd like a club legends thing too, rather there be loads of club legends than various stages of one player.

Gazza/Butcher Walter Smith days and souness
The Italian stallion Amoruso was Rock at defence..
    did a few blunders though

Obscure and because it would be funny to hear them talking to themselves Alan Smith and Lee Dixon. And then Ray Parlour.
