Fifa 20 worst Ever?
I am one of those people who have followed the fifa videogame saga since 2007, it is by far the worst of all. Useless defenses, very bad passes, goalkeepers with problems in the hands, referees who draw cards in excess given the clumsiness of the defenders, among many others. The new physics of the ball was announced, in the first update it was removed, the penalties should be easier to convert, but they tend to kick them in the center making it very easy to stop. EA can not take a video game without trying, badly done, we will have to wait two and three months to get something worth playing, except for the images this looks like a PS2 video game

if youre controlling one player and then switch to another player, you expect that player to be at least close to his normal position on the field when you take control of them. the higher rated the player is the more likely they are to have good positional awareness. when theyre not where theyre supposed to be when you take control of them, thats bad AI. sure you can take control of any player on the field but where theyre positioned when you take control of them is totally up to the AI. why? because you cant literally control every player on the field at the same time. maybe you play with all very high rated players and thats why youre up here acting like defending is so easy.
more like AI "positioning". your defending skills are useless if your AI player is ten yards from where he's supposed to be when you take control of them.
I have to disagree with you mate. Fifa 19 was by far the worst fifa ever. It was so bad it made me stop playing online. Iv bought fifa 20 and must admit it has lots of issues but for me its miles better than 19. I still refuse to play online because the stress would kill me. Iv only got my mrs to play against as my kid wont play me anymore due to my constant huffing and moaning about the stupid Canadians. Iv altered the sliders and spent hours editing various players and stadiums. The outcome is a rather pleasant enjoyable experience which is as realistic as your gonna get. I still kick off if she scores though 😬

Not when the AI defenders positioning r awful, once u switch on to another defender, instead of the previous defender to mark another player or move back to his position steadily they just run up more forward giving space to the oppositions attack, doesn't make any sense.
Oh and also tackling an opponent cleanly just makes the ball rebound off u to the opponents leg and then they're free on goal.

I have never seen a skill gap like this in like 4 or 5 years. And this is definitely the most important thing to me.

Seems like in reality people have been used to being fed scraps and happy to accept them... and pay a premium for that.
Computer defending and playing is part of the game and has to be, otherwise it should just be 1 v 1 on the pitch.
You do not control all 11 players on the pitch at once and can’t. For defense, players still need to mark players or cover a player once they enter an area, then based on their ratings have call to play as the situation dictates.
If EA goes back to FIFA 19 tackling AKA let the AI win the ball back for you all the time then there will be a huge revolt. That previous system was terrible and just broke the game that was supposed to be based on skill.
Not sure what that's all about.

I think your a legend for this post. Truly remarkable my friend. The LB changing player is a lottery and EA should be ashamed. I refuse to play online anymore. I just play my bird and even playing her when I'm 4 up at halftime I still nearly have a stroke. This ❤️❤️❤️❤️ game
My goodness the best post I've seen, literally these are all what's wrong with that game online. Switching LB allows ur own defender to run of his position and give space to the opponents, completely ❤️❤️❤️❤️. Yet u have EA suckers, complementing this ❤️❤️❤️❤️.

The concept of forcing more manual defending is fantastic...however the application - in true EA style - is beyond attrocious...and each patch - again, in true EA style - has just made it worse...
Manual defending does not exist any longer, it was patched......
WRONG! contain is still useless so you still have to basically manually defend.
.....every pass is blocked from AI.....
Hence you really don’t need to defend actively.......
The worst two occurrences of awful defender are: -
* Defender closes attacker down, he is pinned but then the defender moves 90 degrees to the left/right easily allowing the attacker out!
* Defending down the centre. The number of times when defenders literally part the waves (no matter the width or depth of defensive tactic) and escort the opposition in is just sheer bad programming!
I've noticed the trolls. The 12 year olds with daddy's credit card who think everything is fine with their 89 squad containing Ronaldo, Messi and icons galore.
In top flight European footy the average amount of goals per game is a little under 3 (NOT 5). So if you want realism you can stop the likes of Rashford etc turning about 20 times before scoring a goal. If Rashford tried that in real life do you think he may possibly have lost control after the first... 2 turns?
Either the game is an ARCADE game or a SIMULATION.
At the moment it's neither and I'm not renewing my EA subscription.

yes you do. if you dont you wont win the ball back. 1v1 defending is probably the most difficult its been in years
