    1. FIFA without FP wouldn’t be made on a “small budget.” They sell 20-25 million copies each year. That’s still means a massive budget.

    2. EA is not currently focused on making the game better. They’re focused on maximizing revenues from Live Services. It’s not the same thing, and frequently they can be in direct opposition.

    3. If revenues did drop the first things to get cut would probably be licenses and presentation, not gameplay improvements. Konami probably sells 1/10th the numbers that FIFA does and still invests in gameplay.

None of your points are valid I'm afraid.

55% of profit EA makes is from ingame purchases... losing that changes everything massively

Buy coins like you buy VC in 2k.

VC in 2k is painful grind.

They'll let FUT die when FP are banned. No profit -> no need to invest in time and licensing.

Everybody wishing fifa points get banned be careful what you wish for

If you think they would focus on making the game better when they have far less money coming in :D
You do realise that FUT is something like 20% of EA’s total income?

If they do nothing then Andrew Wilson will be getting fired due to the share pricing tanking.

I’m pretty sure he likes earning $37M a year and will do everything he can to keep earning it.

They will start selling coins as if nobody noticed they have left streamers alone who clearly break rules advertising cheap and safe coins !! So ea seeing these work will sell coins instead of points

No they won't.Because it's no different if you buy FP and gamble them on packs or if you do the same with coins. It's still gambling.

It’s different. There is no gambling involved. Buying coins you’re guaranteed to get exactly what your paying for. Meanwhile packs are totally random. I hope buying coins isn’t the way forward, but it’s still not the same. EA would then have to put cards on the market themselves.
Not if you then use those coins to open packs. If that happens it’s straight up gambling as you’re turning your 50K coins into 15K or 2M coins depending on the pack contents.

Since EA have then set a real world price on coins it would be classed as gambling in just about every country on the planet.
  • They will shift to a season pass model, potentially selling cosmetic items, or even players, directly.

This system exists in dozens of other games, so its a natural progression when the cash cow that is FP dries up.

Would it be any different? Is not that with all the money they invest on the game anyway

This company not deserved to recived a penny additional money from fifa points so will be great if this future ( buy fifa points ) will be baned in more countries.

Basicly EA split in players face - Beacouse if they recived regular huge numbers of additional money and im see every week game is unplayably most of the times in friday / saturday or Sunday - Then how this is possible with huge regular profit they cant spend small % or ernings to keep they trash servers in good conditions. ?

How this is possible players are brain less to pay huge $ for fifa points just for play in not working game? what is the point to build good team and open packs if in the end most part of every week game is unplayable and you cant even enjoy play with your good team?
