This game needs patch. Some things are broken and needs to be fixed.

AI defending. No dribbling. Shooting bug. I think this Fifa has potential to be the greatest ever but needs some little fixing.

agree....but every time we get some ,,little fixing,, we get fifa 17 or 16 or 18 back....so no thanks....please no patch...

So after all this, you agree the game needs a patch.

    I’m dead.

    good for you...

    Silly rabbit.

I hope they fix the throughball meta of FIFA 18. It is still alive in 19 albeit maybe not at the same level. I hope the first patch addresses it.

Half decent passes are making Ozil level through passes between CBs to a runner. It's being abuse quite a bit.

Shots finessing instead of low powershotting is another thing.

I love the way everyone holds up day fifa 18 as the greatest iteration of all time. I guarantee that if it had remained unpatched, within a fortnight the little glitches and tricks that ensure you win would have been discovered, and a month in everyone would have hated it. Noone played it enough to give an educated opinion. It wasn't on general release long enough for all the problems to.be found

As long as they don't patch passing or pace I think everyone will be happy.

Anyone that wants the game speed increased shoudl go back and play FIFA 18.

The only thing that needs patching is overhead kicks and corners.

    NOTHING ELSE.

For as long as I can remember the first patch has changed tthat years fifa tremendously. That "first patch" is mainly based on the feedback of the masses gathered in the first few weeks

Now considering the voice of the ones complaining sound the loudest im afraid EA will succumb to the pressure and return FIFA to the arcady ping pong goalfest mess it was last year. And dumbify the passing again.

I'm so happy I don't have to deal with players turning around in circles on the 16 yard box waiting for an inch of space to do a 360 turn into a driven shot. Or crazy unrealistic turning slide tackle pinpoint passes. But I'm afraid all of this will return because of people being incapable of change and not willing to adapt.

Its nothing to do with adapting. The game is completely unbalanced.

The AI is overpowered, capable of mirroring player movements even when they're not controlled by the player. You can sit with a CM/DM and just run around and your AI will carry you.

Blocks and interceptions are too frequent, they are far too assisted, 40-50+ interceptions in a 12 minute game is not balanced at all, its like this because passing has been made so slow. I'm not saying ping pong passing is the solution but the ball moves so slow a player can literally run away from the ball, run back, run away again and still have time to position himself to intercept the pass.

Shooting is a mess, overhead kicks and volleys are so strong that they are actually far more consistent than 1v1s, even without timed finishing, you can bang them top bins all day long, but a 1v1 or long shot is harder because instead of lacing the ball or placing it out of the GK's reach, the forward side foots it straight down the middle.

Crosses are like homing missiles, headers are far too strong, players with 50 heading and no power header can bury headers top corner consistently

Dribbling is so sluggish online that players don't feel like their real life selves, Messi turns like a tugboat, Hazard has went from thiccboi to fatboy with this turn radius, its incredible easy to win the ball back especially with defending being so easy and attacking being completely nerfed.

There is load more, the catch-up mechanic when A player gets through, tackling someone 9 times for it to still rebound back to them, fouls being given for looking at someone while 2 foots from behind get waved on, players unable to trap a simple A pass a few feet away with 90+ ball control and more.

Its got nothing to do with adapting, these posts that say the same thing over and over about adapting and people just being bad are nonsense, people who love the game in its current state go on about how people" can't ping pong pass now "and how its a" real football game with a real skillgap" and how its "masterpiece" these posts repeat the same thing that people that dislike the game are just bad or played a certain way or don't like they can't exploit the game, these are stupid assumptions.

But if this place is going to be full of those type of posts, here's my own assumption, those people repeating the same thing over and over about skill gap, or real football game or people playing x style on FIFA 18 have benefited most from the game doing all the work for them and don't want it to change. I mean, if I could sit back, let the game defend for me then doing a few passes, run down the wing and cross for an easy overhead kick top bins, I'd not want it to change either.

The game has some good parts too but saying this game doesn't need patched or things tweaked is just crazy, opinion and all that but how can anyone seriously say the current state of this game with overpowered overhead kicks and side foot shots are fine.

    great post

    Interesting thread to read.

(Very) long time FIFA user here, PES before that.

In my opinion, whatever how many patches EA throwi, it has been a long time since FUT reflected the gameplay quality of the offline mode, specially if you play against good human players. There has been no comparison between the complexity and qualify of offline FIFA and FUT for a while now. And this is much bigger regret than some of the specific issues some player often focus on. It simply doesnt feel the same game for a while now.

And it was not always the case. I remember one of the early FUT versions that was probably the best online gaming experience sport games ever offered, in which you could see elaborate gameplay, making good use of all the game tools and with visible different game approach styles working equally.

Since then FUT has always struck me as the NHL spin-off of FIFA offline: pacey and simplistic, as arcadey as FIFA gets. I don't know if this is an option or a technical constraint that persists, but remembering how good FUT was in that early version (which version honestly i can't recall) i tend to believe that this is an option from EA rather than a tech limitation.

I had friends sharing their adventures in FUT 18 last year and i was appaled by the results they shared, which they couldn't simply replicate offline whenever we met eachother (6-3, 1-7, 6-1, these were recurrent numbers between them all year long).

I've had a few offline FIFA 19 games with good players and already a few FUT matches and unfortunately i don't see signs of any change in what i describe. I immediately noticed the overall speed change (exception made to Squad Battles but that's CPU of course), the simplistic version of player movement and gameplay options and an overall feeling of "why doesn't this play with the same quality and depth of the offline version?".

Would really love if someone from EA could adress and explain this option/limitation.

    Cheers,
