I rated Ozil at Madrid where they could afford to let him stroll and work a bit of occasional magic.

Arsenal just can't afford that, your squad is not good enough to compensate for him. I mean the players to cover behind him are Xhaka and Ramsey for crying out loud.

    They don't need to be.

    Ideally we'd do:

    Auba - Laca
    Ozil
    Xhaka - Ramsey
    Torriera

Our FBs already play as winters to provide width.

This is the most obvious formation I've seen for ages for us considering our players and how we play.

Sorry but xhaka is horrible and Ramsey has the discipline of someone on bath salts. That line-up would never work. Xhaka, Ramsey and Ozil are a terrible midfield combination .

You'd be ridiculously narrow and half of them could easily disappear during the game.

I agree that Laca and Auba should be played together but they need different players supplying them.

Xhaka isn't horrible. But he isn't suited to a midfield duo. All his best games have been in a 3, where someone is further back behind him. Doesn't matter if Ramsey has ❤️❤️❤️❤️ discipline if there's two players behind him.

Ramsey has played his best football with Ozil. You seem to have just ignored Torreira.

It's not narrow, if you've watched our games the past year, especially this season, our full backs are very high up the pitch most the time and that is their strengths. We might as well use that as our main width, at least with this formation there's someone holding to cover that.

In fact, your whole post smells of someone who barely watches us play.

Still can’t believe fans rate Xhaka, I’d have no issue with him Ozil and Bellerin being offloaded over the next few windows

Xhaka makes many mistakes but as of right now he’s should remain in the starting XI, we need a player that can connect the defense and attack and it’s him we just need to play Torreira next to him and have him sit in front of the defence protecting them especially when our full backs bomb forward, on that note I think only one of the two should attack at one time then we wouldn’t be so open.

    Cech
    Bellerin - Mustafi - Sokratis - Monreal
    Torreira - Xhaka/Ramsey
    Mkhitaryan/Iwobi - Ozil - Aubameyang
    Lacazette

The only place I think Ramsey could play is where Xhaka is but he has to be more disciplined, Lacazette needs to start you just can’t have a 50m bench player we might as well just sell him and invest in the defence/proper winger.

Can someone explain why Cech is picked instead of Leno?

The manager wants Leno to fight for the spot instead of just throwing him in there, Leno got too comfortable at Leverkusen and Emery wants there to be proper competition between the two keepers. Heard Leno has not been too good in training too, expect him to play against Brentford in the Cup or when Cech has a really terrible game

It all makes sense if Cech hadn't been awful all season? Or is it just me?

He’s been awful playing out from the back and ball distribution, but on the other hand he’s made some big saves so far, he’s one of the captains, after international break I’d like to see Leno start

Germany coach Joachim Low and general manager Oliver Bierhoff were barred from Arsenal training as they tried to make contact with Mesut Ozil, German newspaper Bild has reported.

Low and Bierhoff attended FIFA's The Best awards in London at the weekend and had hoped to talk to playmaker Ozil, 29, who retired from the Germany team in July and cited racism in the German FA.

Last month, Low said he had tried to make contact with Ozil but his calls were not returned.

Having informed Arsenal of their visit, Low and Bierhoff had hoped to meet with Ozil at the Colney training ground on Monday, but Bild reported that they were not allowed to attend "at the behest of Arsenal coach Umai Emery."

Bierhoff said: "We would have loved to talk to Mesut. But we must accept that currently he does not want that talk."

Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been fined for speeding in North London.

Gabon international Aubameyang was fined £1,250 at Willesden Magistrates' Court but escaped a driving ban, officials confirmed to ESPN FC.

Arsenal really picking up now under the radar. Well ahead of United currently in both style and results and league position (3rd).

Shouldn't be allowed to have Aubameyang and Lacazette in the same team. Lacazette is just brilliant. Iwobi and Torreira were great today too. Also scored the goal of the season, moved above Spurs into the top 4 and won our 9th game in a row, so a decent days work.

Wasn't even goal of the month

He probably should just never judge a team. His opinions are horrendous.

Fantastic second half. World Class performances from Ozil, Iwobi and Torreira. And we've now scored the two best goals this season in consecutive weeks. Never expected to see United fans jealous of Arsenal :D
