    GK & Defence
Dino Zoff - Regarded as the 3rd best 'keeper of the 20th century. Legend of the game.

3 of my defenders - Nilson Santos, Carlos Alberto and Bobby Moore are in the back 4 of the World Team of the Century for the 20th century.

Franco Baresi is second only to Beckenbauer when it comes to the best centre half/sweeper of all time.

    Midfield
Lothar Matthaus is simply the greatest midfielder of all time. He could do it all. Johan Neeskens was a crucial player in the Total Football revolution of the Netherlands. Arguably the best player in the team other than Cruyff.

Kaka is the last player to win the Ballon d'Or before Messi and Ronaldo arrived on the scene. An elegant, dangerous attacking midfielder.

    Attack
Stanley Matthews was the winner of the first ever Ballon d'Or. Regarded as one of the best wingers ever.

Rob Rensebrink is the top scorer in the UEFA Cup Winners Cup. Seen as the best player to have played in the Belgian league, and voted Anderlecht's greatest ever player.

Gabriel "Gabigol" Batistuta....Fiorentina's top Serie A scorer. A legend of the club and one of the best strikers ever.

Iv deliberately picked 2 hard men in midfield in Souness and Vinnie Jones to protect my creative players Van Basten, Laudrup, Best and Stoichkov.

Both Leandro and Hughes were also attacking full backs so plenty goals in this team.

Defense, with a combination of the tough tackling defenders of an era gone by and agile ball playing defenders of the modern day sitting in front of sharpest reflexed keepers I've ever had the joy of watching play this is a defence that would strike fear into the hearts of the world's most renowned attackers and with the goal scoring ability Fernando Hierro would also be striking that same fear at the hearts of the opponents defence.

1 Peter Schmeichel. Without doubt won of the top goalkeepers of his generation. A stalwart of the Fergie side that had so much success in the 90s and naughties.

2 Lilian Thuram. Most capped French player of all time, a defensive rock that could play centrally or at full back. Part of the famous France side that held the World Cup and European Championship at the same time.

3 Bobby Cox. A Dundee legend, captained Dundee to there only ever top flight title success and led them on an exciting European campaign. If he wasn't out against AC Milan who knows what would've happened.

4 Fernando Hierro. Real Madrid and Spainish hero Spains 3rd top scorer of all time, not bad going for a defender, Hierro was renowned for has ability to lead from the back with goals.

5 Ron ‘chopper’ Harris. Arguably one the greatest defenders never to be capped for his country, he led Chelsea to domestic and European success in the 60s and how he never got the call to represent England is a mystery. Got skills? No good if you don't got legs is it.

Midfield, a well balanced midfield three with Dunga being the primary defensive cog but Davids also extremely effective defensively and highly creative going forward. The confidence offered by this two behind him allowing Maradona to play that CF CAM role that he did like no other

6 Dunga. An atypical Brazilian, maybe showing his German/Italian background, who liked to sit in front of the defence and read the game to break up plays while rarely making a tackle. While Brazils attacking style with full backs like Carlos and Cafu got all the credit for the 94 World Cup win it was the captains ability to sit back and break up plays that allowed the rest of the team to attack with so much confidence and freedom.
8 Edgar Davids the Dutch terrier had it all, a tough tackling tactician that could break plays down with his vision and desire but also blessed with skill, creativity and technical ability he could turn defence into attack like Kante could only dream off.

10 Maradona, need I say more

Attack, with Maradona turning midfield into attack this front 3-4 will run rings out if any defence, creativity and pace in abundance goals galore are sure to ensue.

7 Arjen Robben, the cut in King. With a wand of a left foot he is one of a very select group who's creativity and goals have helped his team to titles in 4 top flight leagues in Europe amassing a host of admirers along the way.

9 Eusebio, considered the greatest Portuguese player of all time until Cristiano Ronaldo came along.

11 Leonardo, a creative magician that could play anywhere, he was deployed as full or wing back in his early years before getting utilised as an out and out winger and eventually settling into a creative central play maker role as his pace started to dwindle. One thing for sure he brought magic wherever he played.

In goal we have the world cup penalty shootout winning Claudio Taffarel.

Playing in front of him we have 3 of the greatest defenders of their individual era's. Cannavaro, McNeill and Ramos. The latter two have captained their club sides to European titles and the former has captained his nation to the world cup.

In central midfield we have Clarence Seedorf, the only player to win the champions league with three clubs and Zico, the best player in the best team never to win a world cup. Seedorf is the midfielder who will retain his position holding the team together. This will allow Zico the freedom to support and join attacks.

The wide midfielders are both integral players from Manchester United's treble winning season of 1999 with Giggs going on to become an all time club great for the red devils and Beckham becoming a Galactico before single handedly kick starting the MLS. Both players played with Van Nistelrooy at their peaks at Man United so there will be a great understanding between the three whilst linking up with Baggio and Pele shouldn't be too hard either. :D

Up front we have two of the best players ever to have lived and the best poacher of all time. A perfect mix of pace, skill and finishing. All three players have astonishing goal scoring records and you would struggle to find a trio that could bag more goals, especially with the support of Zico, Giggs and Beckham

tl;dr This team is GOALS GOALS GOALS. You'll struggle to find a more enjoyable team to watch.

fix again, you have to stop this.

Although having placed again keep my record up of only not placing in one draft. Selgarr always seems to have the most ridiculous attack.

Id say oldest as you could go Messi first pick and you'd be really restricted, it kind of a game of who blinks first.

Something to do with dates/decades would be good.

Another idea for the future is you can't pick more than 2 players from the same decade, or something along those lines.

That's another one I'd like, 2 from each decade which you've mentioned before but I can't remember the specifics.
