    We're going with Maradona.

@chaz & @jamle1874 Try and top that lads.

The first people with the chance that can top that are me and @fergoosee.

    We can crush that

    You thinking who I'm thinking?

Im thinking of the best player of all time so probably not

The best player of all time just got picked.

By who? Dont see that pick anywhere

Too young to have seen Maradona in fairness.

We don't have to be too young because he isn't.....

Oh but he is. All about opinions. But for me what he achieved in lesser teams beats what Messi and Ronaldo have done in teams full of superstars. No one has ever dragged a team to World Cup glory like Maradona did in 86. And almost again in 90 when he wasn't at his peak.

And to win 2 Seria A with Napoli up against the greatest club team of all time (for me anyway) in Milan is quite incredible. Would Espanyol win La Liga with Ronaldo or Messi in the team? I doubt it personally.

Times have changed..... Its all about opinion really like you've just says!

The teams Maradona played in where no place near as poor as Espanyol either!

I think it's a fair comparison. Napoli had never won a league title in their history. But with Maradona pulling the strings won 2 titles. And this was when Seria A was the best league in the world.

Your right though, times have changed. Messi would get snapped in half by the tackles that were allowed in those days. With the protection players get today Maradona would have a field day.

Messi gets taken out every game tbf. Also from what iv heard defending is a lot better now than it use to be

Defenders now would get straight red's for a challenge that would get a quiet word in the ear back then. Messi wouldn't be able handle he kicks that Maradona took. Maradona was built like a tank.
Also not sure there has been any better defenders than Baresi or Maldini since.

One thing about Hibee, he loves Maradona.. and Van Basten.

Watching this Barca Juve game and Neymar's rampant, he'll be best in the world in a few years as Messi and Ronaldo wind down.

If maradona was as consistent as Messi is then he would have been better.

Messi has more international goals, more club goals and more trophies. All this and he isn't even retired yet.

It's also hard to judge how a player would play in a certain era of football, players adapt in every aspect

If you have a Real Madrid player, who also played for Inter Milan, and you have an EPL player, who also played for Inter Milan, and you put them next to each other, how does it affect chemistry? The squad builder will have no link but they have both played for Inter Milan?

Myself and @Lisbon67 are going for the best centre half/libero of all time.

We'll be able to work it out manually ourselves.

Bit off topic but if any of you are interested in watching any old football matches, I found this website yesterday...

    http://footballia.net/

It has a couple thousand matches including "playlists" of different players i.e. a playlist of some of Maradona's matches, or Cruyff's matches. I watched the 1974 WC Final yesterday - West Germany v Netherlands. It works a treat.

Going to watch some of Maradona's matches to see what all the fuss is about @Hibee ;)

@SC1967 There is a video on YouTube of Napoli beating the great Milan team 4-1. Maradona controls everything in the game. He literally takes the ball from the keeper and dictates play.
