OFFICIAL: FC Vaduz appoints Wei Shen as manager for the upcoming 2016/2017 RSL Season. The board is delighted to welcome Mr. Shen to the management staff and wishes good fortune to him as they hope Mr. Shen can make their dream of the Champions League a reality. While fans may be doubtful of Mr. Shen, as he has only managed teams in Hong Kong, the board is confident that this is the right time for Wei to make the jump to Europe and he has their full backing.

Shen: "I am honoured to be given this massive opportunity at such a respectable and honest club like FC Vaduz, and I wish to repay that faith with titles and European glory. I want to bring a positive aura for the team and the club, I want to make this team a dominate force in the league and then in Europe. I ask the fans to please give me a chance to show you what I can do and to give me the patience needed, as this will be a slow process, but it will be worth it."

What he said. For a team like Vaduz, already surviving the group stage is a huge achievement. Eager to see what happens next!

I got lucky with the Stabæk Fotball game. That free kick goal (Picture used) helped motivate the team despite going 3-1 down after equalising. The team started clicking better and we were able to score twice to get that point.

If we didn't get that point, Stabæk Fotball would have gone through instead.

Yep! It's looking good at the moment, time to see what the league has in store.

Shen: A good month for us. We have brought in some players on loan from FC Metz and I am honoured to help their development. Vincent Thill is the one to look out for. I can see a future world beater out of him and I hope he can show it here in the RSL.

Kotal and Samardžic are excellent additions to sqaud as well. I have followed Kotal for awhile now and I am happy to have him finally in my team. an excellent full back who can also play in midfield, he is the perfect player for this team.

Samardžic is a player I hope can impress here. A tall striker with a knack for finding the net for the NK Maribor U19 back in Slovenia, I hope he can keep that form as he makes the jump to the professional game.

I look forward to the "Thrill thrills" headlines when Thrill lives up to his potential. :)

A decent start there. Do you get UCL for 2nd?

In real life the Swiss league goes like:

    1st: UCL Group Stage

    2nd: UCL 3QR

    3rd: UEL Group Stage

    4th: UEL 3QR

    5th: UEL 2QR

I can only imagine with the limitations of the competition with the lack of teams it will go like this:

    1st & 3rd: UCL + UEL Group Stage

2nd: UCL Play Off (Win to go to group stage, lose and go to UEL Group Stage)

4th + 5th: UEL Play Off (Win to go to group stage, lose and go out of Europe)

I'll have to get to one of those positions come the end of the season to find out!

I did a lot of testing in FIFA 15 for my CM Guide and back then it was:
    1.Champions Cup Group Stage
    2.Champions Cup Playoff Round
    3.Euro League Qualifying Round
    4.Euro League Qualifying Round
    5.Euro League Qualifying Round
Swiss Cup = Euro League Group Stage

I assume not much has changed but I'm not sure.

I assume it is one of our choices, I'll just have to find out if I get one of the spots in question.

I'm also ignoring the Swiss Cup, as Vaduz can't take part in real life due to being a "Guest Club", which also means that European qualification is complicated, as they can't go to the Champions League through the league and can only go there though winning the Europa League (They play in the Lichtenstein Cup which grants them a UEL First Qualifying Round)

Because of that I will have to ignore that bit and go to Europe as normal.

Also it is nice that the game knows that Vaduz is from Lichtenstein, as when I was playing the Pre Season, they Lichtenstein in the brackets, instead of Switzerland which was what I was expecting.

Shen: "Only one lost this month. This is good for this team, it gives them confidence that they can hang with the best in this league. We were even able to shock everyone and beat Basel, who are currently having a poor start to the season. We now need to see if the team can keep this up."

Nooo! Costanzo! I knew he sholdn't have asked for that transfer. It serves him well! :joy:

Another very nice stint, impressive win against Basel and, well, also YB were always going to be tough. You did pretty well nonetheless. :)
