This made me audibly laugh, because it's true.
Cheers for being a good sport

Super relaxing. Two episodes a day tops or you'll want to put the show down given how slow it is. It's great after a stressful day though, to brighten up your perspectives and calm you down.

First season is world building, so for 13 episodes you won't get any payout. Actually, that's a lie. You get payout on episode 11.

Second season you are thrown into it. The first season is an introduction, the second explores themes of life in general. My favourite one, with episodes five and seven (from memory I think) being my favourites over the whole franchise.

Third season is the conclusion. The first and third are bookends, with the conclusion being plot and character driven (versus thematically driven like the second season). Generally everyone's favourite.

The beautiful thing about this franchise is that the experience will be unique for each viewer.

Don't take my word for it though, here's a random comment someone wrote on my wall today:

Is that the review that I said sounded way too elaborate and fancy? Guess I'll be eating my hat now based on that feedback

Yeah, it was. It is one of my weaker reviews numerically though.

My shorter reviews have done better, but I don't think I would change a thing about my Aria review since it is a personal experience, unlike many others where it is pretty black and white what you are getting.

Like Low Ki said, School Days is a must, it's usually a late round sleeper pick for people, but definitely a must watch at some point.

It makes me happy knowing people are watching Aria. I can't wait to start Mushishi, as I've penned it in for my anime challenge, but I'm not going to rush to it. Still have that backlog...

Do yourself a favor by watching Shin Sekai Yori instead of Another.

I've had Another on my list since ever, so I kind of feel obliged to go with that first. I know Shin Sekai Yori is good, so I will get to it eventually.

Another is good. Reminds me a lot of Lost but the mysteries actually get answers instead of compounded.
  • Third ep of Aria right now, it's nice. Will watch School Days when I'm done with this in a few weeks!

The complexity of Lost and the ridiculous deaths of Final Destination :p

    @KVA
You should watch Baka to Test, loved it.
"The story centers around Akihisa Yoshii, the "baka" of the title. His academy rigidly divides up the student body into classes based on the results of tests. The prodigies are in the A class with reclining seats complete with air conditioning, but Akihisa is in F class, the lowest rung of the school ladder which is furnished only with low, decrepit tables and worn-out straw tatami mats. A girl named Mizuki Himeji is actually one of the smartest girls in Akihisa's sophomore year, but she had a fever on test day and was pigeonholed into the F class. Besides Mizuki (who Akihisa secretly adores), the F class also has Yuuji Sakamoto, the class president who has been Akihisa's friend and partner-in-crime since the freshman year.

The school happens to have developed experiments to summon fantasy creatures, and Akihisa decides to rally F class to take on the higher-tiered classes and seize their perks. The F class uses the summoned creatures in an all-out battle for school supremacy.

I've heard Dungeon is really bad. The manga was bad. D:
I don't like saying something is bad after 1 episode, but the first 15 minutes were hard to watch. The end was decent, so if it continuous like that I'd rate it 6/10.
It's like a mix of Sword Art Online and Log Horizon, but (a lot) worse.

    Re-Kan!
I can't understand what my husband is saying

Went out and saw three new ones released, about to watch them now.

My favourite ones so far are Owari no Seraph, Shokugeki no Souma and Oregairu.
    Most disappointing one is DanMachi.
Vampire Holmes is just bad, but what can you expect from 3 minute episodes.
