Ok mate, not just shirt sales but ad revenue that the player brings. United can afford Pogba otherwise they wouldn't have bought him.

Biggest problem in not only this forum, but half the English speaking world, is that no player will ever be as over hyped as the EPL itself :D

They could've "afforded" to pay 200 million for him. Just because they can afford a move doesn't mean that it's good.

Because IMO there are currently two sets of people out there...
those who over pump him something shocking,
and those who have only watched him play a handful of games and underrate him immensely...

    Exactly this

It's good. Our midfield atm is not great so yeah, glad to have Pogba ;)

I feel he would have played better if he was played as a central attacking midfielder they had so much talent in the French team and notice whoever played in that attacking midfield role shined, Payet in the first couple games and Griezman towards the end Pogba just never got the chance

So when are you coming back to us with the 20+ midfielders better than Pogba?

Id agree he's slightly overrated, however he's still young & he's most definitely inside the top 20 mids comfortably. @juniorcbr

I'd give you a wager on him getting that before the end of the season. That was your original assertion. Did you mean just in the BPL or all competitions?

The jealousy on this forum is unreal. If Real Madrid had bought him all the posts would be about how great a buy he is. The anti Man Utd brigade have had three years of glory and now they realise we are coming back and they can't take it. B) .

I don't believe any BPL team in the last 15 years has bought 4 players into their club with the same quality Man Utd have this summer.

There are thousands of people who bought an Ibrahimovic shirt when they were first released and will now buy a Pogba shirt. Man Utd's shirt sales this year will break all records.

The publicity boost Utd will get around the world because of their signings this year will make a lot of the money back . Also remember extra money was made available when Van Gaal first joined by the Glazers and they got most of the money they spent on Di Maria back and had nearly 50million earmarked for Falcao that didn't get spent.

It kinda does. If you earn £1million a year why not buy a Ferrari. Granted it's more sensible to buy a Toyota but why not buy it if you can afford it.

Because then you might not be able to afford other things you may want or need? If we take United as an example, a CB and holding mid?

United could pay 500 million for Pogba and still buy a whole new defence

In theory yes, but they probably won't sign any other players without releasing some players which means they either can't really afford other players, worried about the financial fair play or some other reason which makes clubs not spending 500m every transfer window.
