Thanks dude. As a Brentford fan, it was an easy choice, especially with the current turmoil at the club.

Edit, Squad page updated. Will sort the rest out later. Going to start moving forward on the save now!

    BRENTFORD ANNOUNCED PRE-SEASON PLANS

Lee Carsley's first (and only) season in charge of the Bees will start with a pre-season tournament in Denmark, participating in the SparNord invitational.

Carsley said "This is a fantastic opportunity for players to show me what they're capable of, and to show everyone why they should be starting the campaign for us. Every player will get an opportunity".

The invitational tournament will be held in the cities of Aalborg and Brondyvester. The Bees have been drawn in Group A, which means they will be based in Aalborg for the group stage.

    Group A:
Aalborg (DEN) - BRENTFORD - FC Sion (SUI) - Mallorca (SPN)

    Group B:
Brondby (DEN) - Dijon (FRA) - Brescia (ITA) - Auxerre (FRA)

    PLAYER SPONSORSHIP NOW OPEN
Brentford have opened player sponsorship for the season. All players are available on a first come, first serve basis. Point criteria is available in the opening posts, and points will only be scored in league fixtures. There is no risk of players leaving/joining until January as the first transfer window is off!

Think I'll sponsor Jota please. Doesn't look an easy group, but there's definitely a chance to qualify from it. :)

Fantastic choice. That boy Jota makes Forshaw look sh....

Will be intriguing, playing 3 different systems and quality of XI against strong opponents. Must remain positive

McEachran is yours. Can't really comment on his real life abilities as he's been injured since signing for us lol.

Great player he was last season, hope he can continue it this time. Always good to try out new things in pre-season. You intending on going with 4-2-3-1 or what formation?

Pre-season will be 4-1-4-1, 4-2-3-1 and another formation to be decided. Will probably use Brentford's trusted 4-3-3 though, as we've used it for years now

BRENTFORD CRASH OUT IN GROUP STAGE

    PS1.png
    PS2.png
    PS3.png
    PS4.png

Brentford's run in Denmark ended at the first stage. They started with a 2-0 victory against co-hosts Aalborg, however the scoreline only tells half the story with Aalborg missing 6 clear cut chances. Expectedly, Brentford lost to Mallorca in a match where they failed to create any major opportunites. The Bees went into the final game against Sion knowing a draw would see them through, and it was looking good after youngster Jermaine Udumaga slotted home before half time to equalise against the Swiss, however the Bees' failure to defend a cross saw Mboyo send the Championship side home early.

    AUGUST FIXTURES
    SAT 8 - Charlton (H)
    WED 12 - Blackpool (A - Capital One Cup)
    SAT 15 - Blackburn (H)
    TUE 18 - Middlesbrough (A)
    SAT 22 - Bristol City (H)
    SAT 29 - Fulham (A)

    YOUTH SCOUTING
Brentford's scouts have spent their first month in England, Denmark and Spain respectively, however they have yet to find anyone suitable for the youth academy.

Nice to see you giving every player a start :o Unlucky not progressing, was a tricky group. Main thing about pre season is finding out more about who'll be in the first team.

Good luck mate. Not a disaster after the group 3rd place the teams are not that weak compared to yours. As merte said nice squad rotation, this is how a pre-season should be

Thanks guys. Got a fair idea of who will start what games, and who needs training up. Also a fair idea of a few who will be allowed to leave in January.

Shall play the first month tonight hopefully, so just a friendly reminder that if you want to sponsor a player, let me know :)
