Out of interest, has anyone been to Edgar Street? I'm interested in what you thought of it, some away fans hate it's old state (although a couple of hundred grand was spent this summer to completely renovate it and make it less derelict (not much work had been done for 20 years but we've done it all now), other fans love it because it is a classic city centre football ground with both terraces and seating (something which sadly rarely exists nowadays).

I have. Was 5/6 years ago at the start of the 09/10 season.
Interesting ground, sat at the top of a pretty derelict stand on the side

That stand was so derelict because it was the first metal stand of that type ever built or something (it was a common style in the 60s/70s/80s). This summer we replaced all the lighting in it and repainted it all (that makes a surprising difference) but that was it really. Not much else can be done without demolishing it and starting again. It's just old fashioned now not derelict at least.

The toilets were the worst bit before, they've been completely refitted this summer though.

I've been to 93 different grounds, according to this - http://www.footballgroundmap.com/kayehtfc That includes old grounds aswell as new ones.

I've been lucky enough to see town play across 3 divisions so plenty of opportunities

Not sure being an advocate of a system that football hates and has been gradually dismantled since it was implemented. Now you have Burnley at -10, Boro almost -11 and Derby at -16. No one else has got near that. -6m is the next highest. There's your financial fair play.

I got no issues with Steve Gibson or Mel Morris spending big trying to reach the promised land, it's their money if they want to show a bit of ambition and try to get to the Premierleague that should be up to them. Let's just not call it 'fair play' when Blackburn and us have to shop in Lidl while those teams up there are in Waitrose.

No one can buy the Championship anyway, it's too close of a league for that.

You knew the rules, you broke them, you got punished. Stop whining, rules have changed this season Derby and Boro have followed these rules therefore they haven't been punished.

I've been to a load of none league grounds too, I've been to a few of the above several times.

one thing i can say is our away support is ten times better since we went down, we used to take a few hundred to Wigan if we were lucky, last season we took 5000, just goes to show that the real fans stick around at home games and they seem to be more inclined to travel away when your team isn't just making up numbers in a league.

It was the FA Cup game, we have a shocking record against Bolton and that's the only time I've seen us beat you so it a pretty good day all in all.

Awful center halves, decent full backs, good midfield, decent wingers and awful strikers. That's just basing it off this game, obviously.

Playing Forrester that deep was ridiculous in the first half, he's never played DM in his life for us.

Basically the same all season. Thought the midfield was dreadful. The plan was probably for Forrester to play CM, but defending as much as they were...

The manager has no plan b though, and apparently over the past couple of matches the 'senior' players aren't listening to what he's saying. Fans want the manager to go, players seem to as well.
