  I think the wise thing to do would be to take the packs. It will definitely give you a higher chance of packing something you're happy with than the mid icon one. And worst case, you'll get lots of fodder to do a sbc of an icon you can and actually want to use.

  Take the packs mate. As DR1 said you can use the fodder for a player you want.
  
  I had 13 and took the 83x and the mid/base, base Wright said I should've saved myself some time and stopped at 10!

  for first 10 I took Middle - Sheva, other rinse in 82 and 83 packs for fiday

  Don't take the mid icon - I did that and ended up with giggs....

  If you need fodder, take the packs. If not, you can gamble on a mid or take Overmars. He is a great, safe pick that will help your team.

  At this stage you really should be taking the packs and using when the full toty is in packs.
  
  If you don’t get lucky then at least you can do one of the sbcs that they will release.

  I made the wise decision and took the packs. Will wait to open untill full team is in packs. Ready for some serious disappointment 😅

  I opened 81x25 pack today in hope of at least donnaruma but i wanted marquinhos
  Got schmeichel as best and few 84s.. this packs are crap , just some fodder
  82+ and 83+ will Save dissapointment for whole toty
