Genuinely considering, just quitting the game for this year. For the last 3 days, all played is 442 1 depth drop back, every on stay back/come back apart from the 2 strikers, who no matter how you mark them will ALWAYS get on the end of the hail mary through balls.
It's mind numbingly boring to play. It doesn't matter how creative your runs are, or how we'll you keep the ball. Their AI just sit their 2 yards from the goal not moving

First few weeks of this game was brilliant.

What's getting on my nerves at the moment is that nobody is controlling their players when defending lol.
Everyone is just spamming pressure and leaving their St selected on 1/2way for the counter.
"Well just play around their ai controlled player", you might intelligently suggest.
Well that's also impossible to do due to lag and so their ai Kimpembe will just barge through your players whilst you try and build up play and then R1 triangle a through ball to their St whilst you fight with player switching to step up or intercept.

It’s horrific isn’t it.
I quit out a game yesterday in the 55th minute.
It was 0-0 and I had around 80% possession with about 3 shots.
He had 0 shots and wasn’t interested in trying to take the ball from me.

@Since1875@High420 what I find the worst is that they suck me into it. They don't press, so I keep the ball, I inevitable switch off because my brains dying on the inside OR the Fifa gods decide that we won't pass to the player you're obviously attempting to pass to. And suddenly its 1-1 and the Constant pressure makes everyone a brilliant defender instead of making the over ambitious which is what it should do.
Telling Dembele/ASM/Ben Yesser to constantly press doesn't suddenly make them brilliant defensively, their stats should make them reckless and easy to bypass instead of turning them all into prime moments vieira
One thing I have considered is moving back onto the 4231(2) to recreate the world's greatest team (Bayern).
Have both full backs bombing forward, with the LM/RM on cut inside. So in theory it should create a kind of 2431. Hopefully allowing a bit of more a structured overlaod similar to the 3421

This works btw, was using an all Arsenal squad in elite with Full backs bombing forward but it was the 4-2-3-1 with the 3 CAMS

Yeah I agree, guessing there's nothing I can do haha. Will just have to put up with it. It's a shame because the 3421 is so much fun in attack!
Matches Mid Del Piero for output- all he's missing is finesse shot trait if you spam that (I don't really), but he's basically a slightly stronger,faster Wissem Ben Yeder.
Just played one guy, playing a 442....he's CM pairing. Robbie Keane and Bernardo Silva. That should fundamentally not work, yet Robbie Keane is apparently the most accomplished defensive centre mid in premier league history. Absolutely blows my mind, how people can be rewarded for playing like that

There's no other game where the game encourages a certain playstyle and punishes another one so badly as this game. I don't know what the developers where thinking. You pass 100 times to create a creative opening and even when you achieve a high quality chance in the box
A. A miraculous AI block occurs
B. The keeper saves a shot which you took with the exact same technique in other matches and it was a goal.
I haven't seen any fifa with so much inconsistency like I don't even know which shot is going in and which isn't no matter who shoots from which distance.
The passing is another epic failure. I don't even notice a big difference between Xavi's passing and Kante's passing. I see Xavi and Messi misplacing so many normal x passes so I'm getting forced to play stupid driven passes.
If I stop getting the slightest enjoyement out of this game I'll quit early just like last year. I regret buying a ps5 for this disgusting game.
This is the first week i failed to qualify for wl but considering I couldn't be arsed to play all 20 games last week I don't think it matters, what a boredom trying to play constructive passing and play in this game when you're going against a wall of ai defending since most people don't even bother trying to control their defense

There are forwards good at it irl like Liverpool's front three for example- it should just be an OP trait on a select few players.
