My online gameplay has been dreadful since day one. Rivals is usually ok, but friendlies are unplayable. Haven’t played WL yet and probably never will.
After the last patch I suddenly found that friendlies were finally playable. For 3 days that is then it got really bad again at the weekend and it’s still bad now.
The problem, and many people have said this, is that half the player base are getting good gameplay and the other half are being intentionally lagged.
I don’t think it has anything to do with connection as most of my games have a low ping.
There is something that gives one player a huge advantage over the other in almost every game. And I’ve been on both sides of this. I beat someone on rivals 4-0 before he quit and he couldn’t get near my goal. I knew that the game gave me an unfair advantage. But in friendlies I’m the one being lagged.
And the people who say there is no issue are the ones taking advantage of this and they don’t want it patched.
Are you guys playing on next gen? I play next gen and the passes have been terrible since the beginning. Ive occasionaly played on the ps4 version and the passes always went were I wanted them
Another problem is that people have been complaining about lag in FIFA for years. And now that there genuinely is a serious problem with this game they are not taking any notice because they have heard it all before.
The fact that (for me) the lag is in friendlies and not Rivals is interesting. The gameplay in these 2 modes is so different. And other people have reported the exact opposite. I’d personally prefer it if it was that way round for me so I could do the player objectives.
Another thing is the matchmaking. How many of you have not even been able to find a game sometimes? Are we supposed to believe that nobody is playing at that time? It seems the game is only matching players against a certain type of player, and does not want to match us up against just anyone. I think this issue is also related to the lag.
So far I played every weekend league.
This is the first week where I dont look forward to play. EA did so much to make my hype of the beginning go away. Content is bad Gameplay got worse. Content is bad. Some players get gifted tradeable icons and tradeable red picks. Content is bad, featured totw is a flop, market is dead, content is bad...

How EA are allowed to sell this terrible terrible product is a joke.
This is not what we pay for.
How can you have smooth gameplay then 1 patch (no mention of connectivity) and you have slow sluggish and delayed gameplay since.
Tbh the way that Fifa is atm I’ve barely touched it and starting to appreciate the games like forza and halo where time has been spent making it and no shoddy servers
Its like a new game everytime i play. Some days massive delay and super slow play, then i have some days with good gameplay and not so much wierd stuff. And now today it felt like a whole new game again! Passing is wierd, players just skate around the pitch failing to take control of the ball, sprinting around like headless chickens with no clue of what the ❤️❤️❤️❤️ they are doing on the pitch.
I never play at prime time, and i have the best possible connection i can have. Its just so wierd how the game changes all the time for me.
The game might play good for some players all the time, but there is alot of us with massive problems. And its not on our end for sure.
Edit: i dont think the patches is the problem tho.
I never miss one WL on fifa 22 until this new patch came out, is impossible to win 5 out of 9, and now 2000 points to qualify this company want to kill his own game. Go back to previous patch this is ridiculous. Fix ur game.
I think EA messed with the levels too much , it’s too fast again literally the first two games my eyes were hurting and I had to adjust to the movement alone - got demolished like 7-2 and 9-1 lol 😂 than the next games were a bit better

Have you actually played different Fifa games?
Because we had this game Fifa 20 and it was what you described, but without driven passes. There will never ever be another game which beats that in terms of boredom.

Hopefully they will do another patch to fix what they broke in the game.

get 16 wins in wl and elite div since week 3/4
the game has went to pot since the update
cannot move properly and right stick switching is totally random
unable to first time shoot or even only take 1 touch
cant pass quickly
takes 2 seconds for my player to start sprinting after pressing the button
its diabolical that they get away with changing the game so much every ❤️❤️❤️❤️ year
