Imagine needing tactical tweaks to beat Malmo 1-0, ffs :D

you never had 1-0 wins against weaker teams?
i didnt see liverpool winning 5-0 week in week out when last i looked at shedule
you cant be perfect all year and surely not in UCL nights

The day we only manage to beat a team like Malmo 1-0, being as good as we are now, shoot me.

Ooft, your troll attempts are getting sloppy now.

    Sloppy, like Chelsea’s performances.

    Or Liverpool's latest result.

Can’t hear you over the sound of being undefeated.

Sorry what was that? Difficult to make out what your saying, there's a bit of gap between us you see.

It’s 3 points. I think you might need to pop into Specsavers.

I guess the glare of the current Champions league trophy must be making if difficult to see.

    Imagine the glare of 6.

Oh and we actually have a real one in our cabinet B)

Not the plastic fakes you have.

But not a current one though eh?

You don’t have the current one either. Just a replica.

Ah, we'll just have to settle for the title of being Champions of Europe I guess.

Enjoy. After the 3rd time it gets a bit samey.

Yeah, i'd warn you of the same with the elusive for you Premier league trophy.

1 proper PL trophy > 5 PL titles dripping in oil.

Now say that again without crying

No matter what Chelsea or City fans say, they will always be a bit tainted.

Sounds like the desperate ramblings of a fan who's team could fall behind once again.

Nah, genuinely does seem to be the general consensus for Oil Club trophies, tbh. They will never compare to the ones won organically.

Says rivals, I've never heard any Chelsea fan say it feels tainted in anyway. Of-course rivals will feel that, it's natural bias to feel your trophies are somehow better than ours.

personally I have alot of love for Roman for what he's given to Chelsea, I genuinely wouldn't want anybody else owning us, him being involved is a positive for me, I actually think the 'oil' clubs probably have more of an affinity with the owners than most clubs ironically.

They are better, it is a fact. Chelsea literally have complete and utter luck to thank for their success since Roman decided to come in and sportswash. City followed suit. You can keep trying to justify it, but it's literally facts.

I don’t really care, I don’t think City fans care. Will Newcastle fans care when they win their first one? I doubt it.

Nobody cares about how impressive it is - they’re all worth the same.

No one said they're not worth the same. It's just massively less impressive. Like when the kid of a rich father turns up to school in a sports car that he didn't earn.

A bit like Barcelona coming in and swooping Coutinho for £150m, allowing you to then break the record fees for a GK and defender?

    Stop talking rubbish.

The saltiness from rivals only tends to make it even sweeter, so thank you.

Making a £150m sale must’ve put you at a disadvantage then.

Especially when you then reinvested that on two players - and ultimately won the CL and PL on the back of it.

you cant be perfect all year and surely not in UCL nights

5 proper PL trophies > 1 proper PL trophy.

Fact is there are many different factors, owners are just one, personally I have a love for Roman for what he's given to Chelsea, I genuinely wouldn't want anybody else owning us, him being involved is a positive for me, I actually think the 'oil' clubs probably have more of an affinity with the owners than most clubs ironically.

They are better, it is a fact. Chelsea literally have complete and utter luck to thank for their success since Roman decided to come in and sportswash. City followed suit. You can keep trying to justify it, but it's literally facts.

Lol, I'm glad we won our trophies the way we did, wouldn't change a thing.

The saltiness from rivals only tends to make it even sweeter, so thank you.

It isn't a matter of saltiness. Just isn't as impressive. Trust fund kid vibes.

A bit like Barcelona coming in and swooping Coutinho for £150m, allowing you to then break the record fees for a GK and defender?

    Stop talking rubbish.

Imagine comparing that to years and years of having a massive financial advantage over most of your rivals, lmao.

The only one talking rubbish is you.

Making a £150m sale must’ve put you at a disadvantage then.

Especially when you then reinvested that on two players - and ultimately won the CL and PL on the back of it.

Again, you're comparing a completely organic, legitimate transfer to years and years of having an advantage over your rivals on the back of dirty money. It isn't even comparable.

The point is Liverpool spent big to build a winning team. Trying to say your trophy is better because the money is from sales and not the owner is such a weird argument to make.

If Spurs would have won a trophy under Poch (2016 PL or 2019 CL) or Ajax won the CL in 2019, those would have been as close to “organic” as you can be in todays game in terms of not spending a lot.

Every club that has won the PL or CL in the past decade has spent a lot of money to do it. That’s how the sport is now.

There’s a reason they are always called oil clubs or plastic and that when Chelsea vs City vs PSG comes around, it is dubbed el cashico or el plastico. Those 3 Clubs all have that same aura around them.

Chelsea/Roman changed football for the worse, and that will never not be the case.

Selling our best player at the time certainly wasn't an advantage.

Our net spend was extremely low, actually.

Edit: it’s not a weird argument to make at all. There is a massive difference between doing it organically and having a sugar daddy pave your way to success.

Isn’t Chelsea’s net spend usually pretty low too? I’m talking money spent, not net spend. Maybe we think of “organically” different but I see it as using youth players and buying cheap players you develop.

Liverpool broke the transfer fee for two positions. That’s why I do not see your recent success any different than Chelsea.

I agree all the oil money has changed the game but all big clubs have changed with it. To win you have to spend big or else you are left behind now.

5 proper PL trophies > 1 proper PL trophy.

You are downplaying it by shifting the goalposts over to money spent, when everyone knows how important net spend is when it comes to these sort of discussions.

Looking at the £140m spent on VVD and Alisson in isolation makes us look like big, big spenders, but when you account for the fact that it was funded by selling our best player at the time for £140m, it paints a completely different picture.

In the past 5 years, Liverpool have a net spend of £156m.

    Chelsea's is £239m.

    Nearly £100m more.

Not only that, but Chelsea couldn't even spend any money during one of those 5 years, due to a transfer ban, which makes the difference even more damning.

That accounts for the £150m they got from Hazard as well.

You are free to see "organic" differently to me, but it is pretty clear what I meant when I said organic. But to reiterate, by organic, I mean Clubs that didn't have their success built on the back of sportswashing owners.

Edit: and I've not even touched on the fact that their loan army is a big part of why their net spend isn't up there with City and United's.

I don't think buying someone, spending years developing him into a world-class player, and then selling him can be comparable to being a rich man's toy. I don't see anyone saying Ajax & Dortmund have an advantage when they sell star players for big money consistently.
