Loved his voice, loved his genuine excitement within his commentary and his clear passion for the game.

As stated above his mottyisms were just great over the years.

An icon in the field and I reckon the Fifa games were made far better with his dulcet tones on commentary.

I worked on 19 and 20 in Vancouver and loved that he was brought back to provide the comm for Jim Hunter's volley in the Journey's cold open. "SWEET AS A NUT". It made the scene.
