Over the top Kick Off Goal.

When did this become a thing?

Every sweaty boy I’m playing against is doing it.

I remember when PSG scored a goal like it IRL last year and everyone was saying Messi was a god for doing it, but apparently in FIFA literally any player can make the same pass and get their team a goal from the kick off.

Had someone using prime ZZ do it to me a few months back, kickoff, doesn't move shoots like it's a street fighter power up move, over the keeper in to the goal!!!. Whats more disappointing is I thought I had recorded it 😆 🤣 😂

That’s annoying but not quite what I was talking about.

I’m talking about this new thing that everyone seems to be doing where they pass the ball backwards from the kick off and then do a quarterback style pass to a player who is running in on goal and is free to score. It is almost impossible to defend against.

Yes it’s obviously a YouTube thing as faced it a few times this weekend. Seems to be pass back from kick off and trigger a forward runner with a big scooped through ball which the defence don’t seem to track at all. So no defender anywhere near the runner (usually Mbappe 😡) who has a completely free run on goal.

It is a glitch. People keep doing it even in Silver Lounge ! if you use Constant Pressure you can stop it but this tactic drains the stamina ! :s

Yes had this against me - some successful some not.

Just use offside trap when he does the pass back. Works every time!

From kickoff trigger a run to send the player who kicked off on a run. Pass to another player and then pass straight back to the other centre taker. Do a first time lobbed through ball, you need to start powering it straight after the pass back so the player doesn't take a touch. If he takes a touch it messes up the timing and your first striker will likely stop running.

The defensive line will freeze and watch the ball sail over their heads while your striker runs onto it. I've used it a few times in desperate situations. :joy:

edit: Here's a video of it since I'm crap at explaining things.

Doubtful it gets a patch so the mentality is
always going to be "If you can beat them, join them"

Mind you, i e had a variation of this happen to me where he didn't pass back, he passed sideways and then passed it to his forward (Bale in this instance) and there was nothing i could do to stop it. It's absurd this is allowed.

Of course if you can nick a Goal why not ?

When push comes to shove I’m all about the win 😂

The amount of players that just run at me from kick off is unreal and that’s in high divisions.

    Nothing apart from actually defending...

If you pull back a cb or CM it's literally never working.

But yes you have to manually select one and manually run him back.

Well as much as its horrible if somebody uses it against you... It's a real life scenario and you need to watch out for it like you would in a real game.

Just be aware of it. It's very easy to stop unless you don't expect it.

Cut back goals on the other hand. I can't stop. Anybody able to give solid advice on ways to stop them.

I use the double tap man mark technique and still can't stop it. The ball always finds its way through to somebody in the middle for easy goals.

I think it ruins the game, these glitches are exploited more in friendlies to get their rare gold packs..Friendlies used to be fun but now is just not fun to play with everything capped as well.

You have to remember that 95% of the community would sell their mom to win a game.

It suddenly occurred to me what people whining about others learning what is effective or meta each year reminds me of: Nietzsche's slave morality. @Orison probably knows what I'm talking about.

I see you erred on the side of caution, I'd have went with 99%.
