The Darwin Nunez bet



The bet
Darwin Nunez to score 15 or more PL goals.

The stakes
If won: A forum profile pic for each participating member is chosen by myself for the entirety of the 23/24 season.
If lost: A monthly rotating forum profile pic and a name change for myself is chosen by the participants for the entirety of the 23/24 season.

The terms and conditions
Clause 1: If Darwin Nunez isn't in the match-day squad for 5 or more games, the bet is void. This does not include suspension.
Clause 2: If Darwin Nunez has 14 goals and isn't in the match-day squad for the final game, the bet is void. This does not include suspension.

This has got me thinking, I wonder if any PL players have visited this section of the forum and literally read some of our posts. Surely some of the FIFA fanatic players have been here. TAA probably reads my posts with a single tear falling down his cheek in pride of my passion.

That is a good point. I bet younger players have viewed parts of this website. I know a few Tottenham academy players used to follow comments on Spurs community and TFC.

Fair play for doubling down on your faith but that's a lot of money to potentially risk for a simple picture. I don't think he'll do it, but I don't want to take your money.

Won't this thread be taken down really fast?

Atleast where I live putting money on the line even with friends is not allowed and can actually be taken to court by the government for playing with the money that the country owns.

Thr rules might be different in Canada?

I live in the UK and gambling is legal.

I'd hope that all 5 participants are aware of their countries' rules. If they think they could get into trouble, they should drop out.

Although I am the only one putting money on the line.

But at the end of the day, what is going to happen is we'll be seeing 5 new profile pictures in the summer.

Interesting that different people have said different things. @xHades seems to think it is unbalanced in the opposite direction.

Why not change it to if you lose then a different forum member gets to pick your avatar for 1 month of next season?

I’m sure we can find enough people keen to change your ava. Theres no way they can lose.

It’s more fun when the stakes are higher but I guess it’ll do.

Edit: what about as well as changing my picture, also do a name change for me that they all agree on? Would you allow that, mods?

That’ll be up to the team at EA. I’ll ask the question but suspect it won’t be possible. I’ll let you know what they say.
