2 Wins from 4 in last set of matches. Cameron Archer possibly looking to take Calvert-Lewin's spot with some good individual displays. Single handedly speared a first half comeback against Leeds United when Everton were down to 10 men. Unfortunately they couldn't find the same inspiration in the second half. A dominant display against Aston Villa before being beaten by leaders Manchester United. Everton kept them quiet first half with barely a sniff on goal, in fact it was a very uneventful first half, but United switched things up second half and we're too strong for Everton
Ambivalent defeat vs Leeds, I assume. It must be good for you to see them do this well, and I don't think that defeat was the most painful, you've suffered. Solid wins vs Villa and Bournemouth, the latter ending a rather poor streak against what I expect to be some of the relegation candidates...
Losing to United ended the streak of beating the big teams. Leeds are surprisingly good it seems, no shame losing a wild one to them.
Looking at the stats, that United match was completely one sided. Only one attempt on target. Overall a good spot in the table though.
Leeds match was a crazy match, thought was gonna turn in my favour when I scored then instantly won the ball from restart and scored again, but they kept using the man advantage 2nd half. Happy with where we are currently

Was wondering if anyone would notice that. You know it's bad when it even bugs me 😂 part of me didn't mind the Leeds defeat but was a frustrating one and again EA and AI teams being set weird having McKennie on the wing whe ln they have Adama on the bench and still can't get over Harry Maguire in defence.
And yes, I think the results against Bournemouth and Villa were more important like previous run where I got 6 points when 0 were expected but 1 when probably 6 was expected/required
Everton's return to the Premier League has been a successful one so far picking up huge wins over Rivals Liverpool and Manchester United along the way. Currently sat in the top 8 these great successes come with consequences. There have been numerous of rumours surrounding players generating interest from other sides. The likes of Mitoma, Alcaraz, Taylor and Branthwaite are currently the most talked about right now.
Whilst the club are yet to respond to any rumours nor will The Manager acknowledge any questions on the matter Branthwaite posted on Social Media in what's believed to be an attempt to cool off rumours on his links. With the Transfer Window being just 2 weeks away fans are starting to get worried. Another potential issue is Tom Davies is in the final year of his contract and has also been reported as unsettled due to less than anticipated game play. After this great start the last thing the club needs is all this unsettlement.
Results are very inconsistent, which is expected in your first season up. Winning against top teams then losing against a lower team right after. Sitting in 7th is the area I would expect a club like Everton.
I'm not a fan of players putting out messages on social media like Branthwaite did. If I was the manager, I would be having a word with him. Or just sell him to send a message...
Unfortunate defeat at Spurs. It looked like you really had the upper hand there...
Interesting development with Branthwaite. With the number of experienced signings, you've made, I would probably see him as the most important player for the future, if I was in charge at Everton. Perhaps even captain material.
I'm not sure what I think of the message from him. I don't see it as something he posted himself, but just something he said, when asked by some reporter.
Just as Everton Fans were starting to enjoy stress free football again without wondering what bad thing is gonna happen next something then happens which brings the memories flooding back as well as some pretty bad Deja vu. Recent reports of players possibly leaving the club have in fact happened and they have gone for good fee's which is why the fans are questioning the lack of replacements. Whilst they understand it's a busy, but see The Toffees have received £100+ million in player sells and have spent £6.5million of that on a player they feel was not needed.
After just 1 year at Goodison Park Kenneth Taylor makes a move just down the road to Manchester United . Business wise this was sensation by Everton. Affectively paid to have him as he was used in the swap deal with Ajax for a Youth Academy player that cost nothing then sold for 2nd highest fee on Everton's history putting him just ahead of Richarlison. Meanwhile Mitoma heads to Portugal with Porto and Alcaraz goes to Italy with Sassuolo. All 3 departures came within days of each other just before FA Cup 3rd round tie with Millwall
Could there be more edits for Everton? The Media speculation is all over the place and Fans are at panic stations. With just Charlie Cresswell arriving from Leeds United they also wonder whether the Boards promising at beginning of last season were just empty words and that they are going back to how things were under Kenwright there is still 1 week left to go in the window.

The Manager was quizzed pre and post match in regards to what's happening at Everton right now
"I don't have any comments in regards to the departures other than I wish them well and that they were fantastic members of our squad, however as I say, Squad. We have a Squad of players who have worked fantastically so far this season and this is not down to any specific players. Yes we have unfortunately dipped of late in form, but in reality we performed much better than any of you anticipated making us favourites for Relegation. We all have good and bad runs and our fortunes will turn around. I still work very closely with the board and very confident that they have the clubs best interests and are planning for a brighter future. People come and people will go this will always be the case, but the club and passion to move forward will remain.
As for our recent Merseyside Derby of course I'm gutted for the team and the fans to lose and selfishly I was enjoying being undefeated in Merseyside Derbys, they are a strong team and pushing for another Premier League Title so it was always going to be a tough game, however I am still undefeated at Anfield.
Here is a clip from The FA Cup tie with Millwall where Massengo scores and thunderous Volley
I'll get caught up on everyone else after work this evening didn't think I'd get this posted in time unfortunately a couple mistakes. Forgot to get some info for a couple matches and the Liverpool game had wrong scoreline

Happen to us all. This is turning into quite the career, with a few interesting twists.
You got robbed in that first Forest game, didn't you? Lucky to play them again shortly after, then beating them as you probably should have done the first time as well.
Some pretty good results lately, sitting 9th in the table. A number of big departures though, Taylor to Man United is obviously a huge sale and kudos for allowing it. Certainly a realistic move for him at this point. Gamewise I'm sure you could have sold him more expensively down the road though. And I'm curious which incoming transfers you've set out to make. Cresswell as a bit underwhelming addition so far, as I see it. And I'm sure the fans do too.
Two good results vs Brighton, close to get a result in the Merseyside derby... Quite a hit from Massengo there, really liked the curve on that finish.

The sells were kinda expected as was part of the story/plan for this career for now just to make it more interesting and challenging for me I've also changed a few sliders which probably explains the forest game. I have upped the sliders on my keeper and AI keeper whilst also increasing shot error it's making the games more interesting for me and narrowing the possibility of high scoring matches. I've also got less yellow cards since doing this as not so worried about last ditch challenge as have more faith in keepers now works other way too.
Fans Concerned For Where Creativity Will Come From
With 3 of Everton's most creative players this season departing many are concerned on where goals will come from now. Last season's top Goalscorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin has struggled to find the same scoring form as he had in The Championship. The stats don't lie Top Goalscorers(league)
1. Cameron Archer 7(7)
2. Dominic Calvert-Lewin 6(6)
3. Carlos Alcaraz 4(4)
4. Kaoru Mitoma 4(3)
5. Demarai Gray 3(3)
Top Assists(league)
1. Kenneth Taylor 7(7)
2. Kaoru Mitoma 4(4)
3- Demarai Gray 3(3)
3- Dominic Calvert-Lewin 3(3)
3- Carlos Alcaraz 3(3)
All 3 departures appear in the Top 5 assists whilst Mitoma and Alcaraz are in Top 5 Goalscorers this season for Everton. The board issued a statement promising a signing before Transfer Window Ends.
Deadline Day Panic Buy?
Cherki arrives from strugglers Burnley . The Frenchman wanted out of Turf Moor and Everton wanted a replacement attacking midfielder. It was thought his ability to be able to play on both wings whilst predominantly being an Attacking Midfielder attracted the club. Burnley were not going to let him go cheap and despite the potential some feel this is a panic buy and that Everton overpaid considering he has no goals and just assists to his name this season. The Manager has come out and said everyone at Everton is excited by the signing of Cherki as he is someone who has been on the Clubs radar for a while and it's time to look to the future and not worry about who has left.
This deal see's Rayan Cherki become Everton's record signing surpassing the fee paid for Gylfi Sigurðsson from Swansea City of £40M in 2017
Being such a late addition to the squad Cherki is not expected to make an appearance tomorrow in League game against Arsenal so fans of Everton will have to wait to see their new signing in action.
Meanwhile Tottenham Hotspur fork out a staggering £274million on 2 players during January Transfer Window
Whoa, Spurs mean business! Two 100 million men in one window, and a January window even. Crazy. You mean business too, Cherki is a really interesting young player, and I would probably assume that Everton wouldn't be capable of signing him from Lyon. Bigger addresses in on his horizon, I'm sure. But you found this lad in Burnley, which makes more sense in deed. I've often considered signing him, so I'm curious how he'll perform for the Toffees.
Cherki is a really good player. I've had him in a couple of careers previously. £40-odd million seems quite high, though.
As for the Spurs signings, that's where this game really departs from reality, both in the fact that there are two such signings from them in the same window, and the sources of the players.

I had been eyeing up Cherki for a while, asking price was 50+mil so got it down think 80ovl of remember rightly and considering age probably not a bad price, but more than planned to invest even tho have the funds available I don't like to make too easy.
I was shocked with Spurs transfers also when looking at the dates I saw Nunez was done back in September. I've noticed the AI does loads of pre contract deals. Again it's one of those nice features and can be helpful especially for off loading players but feel it's over used and then suddenly 100s of players switch clubs on January 1st and also doubt clubs like Liverpool would be allowing deals like that from top players especially to a rival then playing for 4 months knowing they off in Jan. Anyways probably just me being picky. Wouldn't advocate for anything being removed but it's a feature I'd soon forget existed if they did.
1 League win in 8 for Everton 1 win since the turn of the year which was January 1st and now 3 games without a goal. Cherki seems to be struggling to settle and the January departures looking even more vital than already anticipated. Can Everton turn this back around and find form again.
I've noticed that there does seem to be far fewer players tick into January with the ability to then sign them on a free because they enter the last 6 months of their contract. I'm guessing that this is a tweak that the makers have made, only to go too far in the opposite direction. In fact, I can't remember a single january window in Fifa 23 where any player on my watch list has become available for negotiation on a free in January, for joining in the summer. I used to get 3 or 4, depending on how many players were in that list (I used to have one of my searches being contract years left as 0-1 for that reason).
Funny how the game goes sometimes. Nobody has lost fewer than 4 games in this season of yours, whereas I've seen seasons where the top team lost 2 and the only way to stand a chance of winning the title is to try and beat that.

I used to get 3 or 4, depending on how many players were in that list (I used to have one of my searches being contract years left as 0-1 for that reason).
That's because all your signings are teenagers mate
Joke aside, I assume you're aware of the fact that players are only available as free transfers once they reach 23 years of age.
But it's true, in July you can scout a player, who has a year left of his contract. And then in January, his deal is no longer set to expire. I checked it a while back actually. In November, I believe the expriring players were still expiring. But often, during December, some players were offered new deals by their clubs, so they weren't available for free in January, and/or were more expensive to sign afterwards.
Well, actually, now I think of it, I've also seen players with a year left in July, and then they didn't anymore in August. So you would be more likely to make the best business early in the window, before a player had perhaps signed a new deal with his club. I think the game has made these two "windows" for contract renewals, to prevent having too many free agents in the game.
I don't recognize your "any player" observation though. As you know, I signed Anuar and Elyounoussi on a free, and I had the option to do the same with Nathan Redmond. And I currently have a few options available for the next season with Sunderland, among them a former Black Cat, whom I might bring back to the Stadium of Light.
Awful defeat vs Palace. And Leeds strikes again, seems to me like you just don't feel like performing against them
Tough break for Cherki, finding it hard to settle. I saw it was mentioned as an expensive deal, but I'd have to disagree and agree with you. Some time into the game, having grown a little, still possessing this huge potential of his, I think those 40 million was quite reasonable. He strikes me as a versatile player though, so I suppose you'd just have to realize his best position, and I'm sure he'll repay your patience with solid performances. Or at least a huge fee as compensation in the other end.
