A lot to catch up on but very exciting end to the season with another trophy for your career and promotion. DCL has another chance to show he's a PL striker.
I like the addition of Turner as a backup. One that I looked at myself for Schalke actually. I am not sure how he will progress in the next year but he's a solid backup for sure.
With promotion money, what areas are you looking to improve first?

potentially looking at Turner as first choice for now. as great as Savin has been for me so far he's still below 70ovl and already reached potential it seems. i dont think there is much development left in him despite being young and considering we are now in the Prem i feel an upgrade is needed.
A new season beckons, new adventures, new worries, new faces................. That is what you come to expect anyways, but as the first game of a new season in a new division against new opposition you'd soon become concerned if there has been no sign of any new signings. This is the case for Everton, with exception to Matt Turner signing on a pre contract agreement all we have seen at Goodison Park so far is Departures. they have not been first team departures which is one good thing, but some fans have grown concerned and of course the Media have to have their say and already predicting a bad return season for the Toffee's and saying it could be an even quicker return to The Championship unless they do something fast.

The Manager: i'll give you 7 out of 10 for effort there, anyways i see a lot of concerns from many people, but i don't understand why. 12 months ago i assembled a team, a team i planned to have working together for more than just 12 months. i knew my squad was more than capable of succeeding in The Championship and cutting it in The Premier League, again, i don't understand all the panic

The Manager: Its The Premier League, anything can happen. i expect a tough battle, but i know we will be comfortable back here, we are here to stay. as for Transfers, yes! in fact we are just finalizing a deal right now for Enciso to go out on loan to Sheffield United. hope that answers your question.

A Debut in goal for Matt Turner, Patterson takes on the new first choice role at Right Back. Seamus Coleman has opted not to retire and remain at the club for one more year, however has stepped down as Captain and New Everton Captain Mason Holgate leads from the back. As for Newcastle, new boy Carlos Soler starts as does Gavi despite being rumoured with a move away to Real Sociedad. Former Everton man Anthony Gordon has to make do with a place on the bench. he was welcomed with a loud sound of boo's when his name was read out.
The manager is in every right to talk back to the reporters like that. But to be honest, a manager only puts further pressure on himself and sounds like he's losing it a bit, once he responds so aggressively. Jürgen Klopp as a recent example. That's my opinion, anyway. But his words are still true, especially the math part comparing 46 league games + a European campaign to a shorter season as it is in the Premier League. Good shout!
I agree with the graphics by the way. Also good to see a change here, visualizing that it's a new competition for Everton, playing in the Premier League now.

It's early days, but The Premier League Table is pleasant viewing right now. 2 wins from 3 is a good start and whilst there are no easy games in this league you could say Everton have had a less stressful or difficult start than it could have been. unfortunately they have suffered an early exit from The Carabao Cup. Toby Savin was hoping to prove himself and make a statement that a new keeper wasn't needed and whilst he made a tremendous amount of saves it was 2 errors from him that gave Wolves their goals.
Another Player Heads Out On Loan
Dobbin wasn't initially on the Loan list, but when an offer came in Everton were happy to let him go and gain some more experience. Dobbin is liked by The Manager who hopes he'll develop into a top player at Everton. after this Everton did finally head into The Transfer Market and made 2 new signings prior to the West Ham match.
Everton Sign Sane
No, not the one you are thinking, but Sidi Sane has joined from Schalke, younger brother to the more known Leroy Sane. he may not be a first choice yet, but Andros Townsend has announced that this will be his final season before hanging up his boots. meanwhile with Dobbin departing on loan Everton turned their attention to Aston Villa's Cameron Archer. providing more back up for Calvert-Lewin and competition for Ellis Simms in the back up role, whilst I'm sure both men will be happy to jump into DCL's spot if the situation arose. Archer did make his debut against West Ham as a late Substitute.

I've looked at Archer, but Blackpool can't afford him. It'll be interesting to see what you make of him.
Like the graphics, but I wonder whether a lighter colour in the text (say, yellow instead of black) over the pitch image might make the info stand out more...?

Hasn't done too much yet, but also hasn't had much play time, but have a feeling Archer may come good.
I'll have a play around in next post with colours and see how looks
Early cup exit, only emphasizes the need to slim the squad over the summer.
Good start in the league though.
The irony it was the one time I didn't wanna go out early as wanted to play around with certain players and see how goes plus it happened in a stupid way. The temptation to restart match was high 😂😂😂😂😂
Could someone let me know if the Flag Emojis are showing? When checking on my phone they appear as expected, but I've just logged on via Laptop and they are all black flags.

Black flags on my laptop. But flags show perfectly on my phone.
Everton find themselves winless in September with lots of what if moments. creating chances isn't usually the problem, but keeping hold of possession and making the most of those chances appears to be the problem most notably with Dominic Calvert-Lewin not hitting form. He himself had been under some harassment from Burnley fans in the build up to their match. They still give him a hard time for his poor season there in-between his Everton spells. he looked like he may have silenced them by scoring instantly after Burnley did, but maybe he was trying too hard the rest of the match and was unable to finish again whilst also being very wasteful. he was again in the next match against Watford and found himself being taken off at Half Time, a shadow of his form from last season.
October is not going to be an easy month for Everton, the past 3 games were probably games they would have been looking to win especially when ow they will be facing 3 of the current top 4 in Liverpool(A), Manchester City(A) and Chelsea(H)

ok thanks, wasn't sure if my laptop was having funny 5 mins. i know when i post them on mobile i have to post them elsewhere first then copy and paste, no idea why, but if i dont they show has black flags.
@Cobblers I tried out a few different colours, whether you or anyone else has a preference on whats best i dont mind. The Orange or even a light blue was not showing up very well at all when testing
Tough stretch, these were games you should be winning to be honest. Another really tough stretch coming up but I wouldn't be surprised to see you take 4 points from the 9 given you normally play well against the better sides.
With the prospect of three difficult games coming up, you probably should have got a bigger outcome from the three games played above, vs lesser opponents. In some of them the result was also a bit against the run of play, I imagine. For instance having 14/10 shots against 8/6 for Watford, then losing 3-1. Tough result.
I have to admit I also find your formation in that game to be quite daring. James and Mitoma in wide positions, Barkley and Alcaraz in forward-minded roles, leaving Tom Davies rather isolated as the anchor in midfield. I don't know if this resulted in some of the goals and chances down the middle, but I would suggest changing the formation a bit, maybe back to the one you've used in the other games with a double pivot or something like that. Just an idea.
Interesting that you had twice the amount of shots on target than Leicester, but they had a bigger Expected Goals score. Perhaps waiting a half second before finishing could improve efficiency?
Regarding colour, I'm not a fan of the purple one. I like white and yellow, and black was fine too IMO. I would probably try to adjust the frame a bit, so the numbers are not on top of the goal line, especially if the white one is preferred. White on green is fine, but the white goal line can interfere a bit... With both white and yellow, to be honest...

Was fairly frustrating those outcomes but makes for an interesting run

I quite often change up my formation throughout games. The one used against Watford was probably the main one I've used past 2 season's. Has become my favourite formation playing with 2 CAMs I think the game just went wrong on this occasion as thought would be an ok formation to use against them. I also have a setting that one CAM always drops back and doesn't get into the box on attacks either stays edge of box or drifts wide whilst the other is much more attack minded. My stats have been all over the place, I thought I dominate games possession wise, but since taking the time to look at the stats I see I don't control as much as I thought and seem to let them have the ball.
I have noticed a lot recently the AI likes to keep passing the ball around near the box and don't shoot as much. I also usually play 4 minute some times 3 halves so shot count won't be that high I wouldn't have thought and I've never really understood the Expected Goals system.
never really understood the Expected Goals system.
Basically it just explains how many goals you're expected to score from the chances you've created in a game. For instance if your striker receives the ball free on goal, and the keeper is lying down, unable to interfere and try to block his finish. That chance will in itself create a 1.00 xG or something close to it, at least. A finish from outside the box will not be expected to go in, so perhaps that would be a 0.10 xG or something similar. During the game, the xG of all your created chances are put together, and if you have a 3.80 xG at the end of the game, it means that you've had the chances to score 3 or 4 goals, mathematically. Sometimes you score more than the xG, sometimes less, but it does give a more accurate perception of your game statswise, rather than just counting shots, which could for instance consist of a number of audacious attempts from the midfield line, just to exaggerate the point.

ok thanks, kinda makes more sense now. its not something I've ever really took much notice of, but thought its some extra info and maybe a talking point in write ups as see many in past have put Xg into their stats/reports
Anyways, just had another little play around and have this, think its a little more clearer. unfortunately i dont have either the skill or patience to better it. Wouldn't believe i was doing IT courses 20 years ago and used to produce Magazine designs 😂

I tend to switch formations during a game, too. I normally start with 4-1-3-2, but am happy to switch - even 2 times or more - during a match, if I'm making no headway. Against the big 6, I tend to start with 4-2-3-1 and last season that did fine for me, but doesn't seem to be working this season. I haven't found a way to get a win against them yet, which is a bit irritating.

Very clean image. I like that a lot.
xG in FIFA is really confusing as well. I have dominated games and should have scored a few but the AI GK made amazing diving saves then I see my xG is 1.2 or something.
I'm glad they added the stat in but I do not trust it completely. One area I wish they would improve is player stats and stat history. Kind of like PES used to have.
Our formation seems to have shown up wrong in match build up. Was actually a 541 flat formation with Nkounkou at LB and the midfield all moving 1 spot to the right.
Everton shock everyone with win over Manchester City and Merseyside Derby Rivals Liverpool on their own turf making The Manager 2 for 2 for wins over them and at Anfield.an early goal against Manchester City was the difference, Everton defended with their lives and kept out everything. The Merseyside Derby however was more end to end. Everton were definitely up for the fight. Despite falling behind and the tie was almost identical to the FA Cup match between the sides 2 years ago. Everton fight back and snatch a lead then survive more late pressure to put the game to bed. Cameron Archer the hero in both games. Most notably he was picked ahead of Dominic Calvert-Lewin in The Merseyside Derby. These results have lifted Everton back up to 9th and have left the fans very excited.
Haha, a true FIFA classic there. One point from Leicester, Burnley, Watford and then beating both City and Liverpool, the latter on Anfield. Special wins both, I imagine, and both very much against the run of play.
I almost spilled my coffee looking at your Anfield formation; Nkounkou right wing, Greenwood as the holding midfielder. But you explained it, and that's just FIFA being FIFA, right?
Top half currently, but only 3 points up to European places, that's a good position for Everton IMO.

I think I played the City game very realistically I think after bagging an.early goal. I just sat back and let them come. Didn't care how knackered it made my players soon as they came into our third I was applying extra pressure calling 2jd player etc. It worked and am very surprised. Liverpool game I went with the Derby feeling and was a much more open game. Could've easily gone the way of getting smashed 5-0 as often open and slide tackle was used a tad more than usual so also surprised I kept 11 players on the field 😂
As for the formation I think it was just a graphic issue as when I spotted that I paused instantly and everyone was in the right place, I know the game has a habit of messing squad up when you make changes to formation. I think going with 5 at the back for both games was the right decision.
Both opponents seemed to have been very busy in the transfer market since the beginning. Started to do some squad.screenshots like this just to show how some opponents are lining up forgot with Chelsea

Your Everton seems to be quite like my Blackpool - quite infuriating at times...
That latest image looks fine to me.
