Is The Poor Pack Weight Giving You Less Motivation to Play?

I know no one is expecting to pack a blue card every other pack, but like many others I’ve been denied packing anything blue. I had 200+ packs saved up, and I’ve done at least 200 upgrades.

I’ve lost all motivation to even play the game. I’m guessing EA figured we’ll all just keep grinding, but this year is the breaking point. I had 3M coins saved up and figured I’d be able to put a couple TOTYs in my squad but even that’s not possible. Based on the prices on Futbin it appears no one is packing anything and if they are it’s probably untradable.

I know I’ll probably be playing again next week but as of right now I’m feeling pretty defeated

Yes of course.. if you put time and effort into anything in life and get no reward it's demoralising. Then you get some people opening 10 picks and getting 2 toty lol

I'll care when every opponent teams will have 3+ TOTY each.

Yep, I only tried to qualify for champs today because I've had zero motivation to play. I did qualify earlier tnbis morning, and after redeemimg entry to WL. I haven't switched it on...

Before this week, I'd saved loads of packs and got nothing, I didn't get the free pack either, and still haven't, even tho it seems everyone else did.

I've done loads of packs since TOTY started and can barely get a walkout. Or even a board from PP's

I did 15 PP's earlier too, got 1x 85 and nothing else above 81...

The pack weight is hurrendous and I cba grinding atm because of it

Ngl I like the rewards and team improvement aspect in FUT. Don't expect a new shiny card every week, but with this pack weight might as well just leave it for a few months and come back around TOTS.

The game is designed to give you a fomo and becomes truly chill just around the end of its cycle when they make all the top cards easily obtainable.

Been playing since the very beginning of FUT and never packed a TOTY and never expect to.Packed one icon in all that time and it was one of the worst in Lineker.You kind of get use to,I play with what i get,Use to spend a small fortune in the early years but refuse to give EA a penny now.Don’t even buy the game either as i game share.

Honestly I’m not that mad I didn’t pack one, but I’m more upset by the prices; because it means no one else is packing anything. As I mentioned prior I figured I’d have enough coins to have a couple and now I’ll barely have enough to get one. I mean Mbappe is almost 10m coins, Haaland and Messi are 5M. Even KDB is 2.5-3M he was 1.5M last year…

Yes defo seeing all the awful pack luck on here makes me think another game is time better spent and I have 320 packs to open yet

No, if you’re putting your enjoyment of the game or motivation to play the game down to pack luck you’re approaching FIFA and gaming in general in the wrong manor completely.

I've no desire to play because when I do I discover that the gameplay is absolutely dog-❤️❤️❤️❤️, the poor pack weight is just an added bonus.

FUT is also about squad improvement and playing with the players you like. With the amount of time that's required to do weekly FIFA chores, there's no joy from pulling Ruben Nerves, Luis Alberto and Hradecky from every other pack tbh.

Definetly. This year was the first time I have saved packs and all I got out of 200 is Bremer HM. I didn't expect any TOTY but I thought I could finish Mbappe POTM. But pack weight was so bad I'm only halfway through the sbc and I'm afraid I'll never be able to finish it. My club is empty now and I lost motivation (at least for now).

Whilst I agree this is the way the game has gone, ea have pushed us down this route. The game is purely about what rewards you get that can enable you to improve and get your ultimate team so I can understand whilst people are unmotivated currently. Made worse because we come on this forum and see others with amazing pulls. It's natural to feel down and flat and question why we bother.

We know for most of us the disappointment will disapate and we will continue the grind.

I feel like a total fool for opening so many packs and recycling so many dupes into useless picks that just end up being negatively circuitous. As usual, a hapless show from EA who push me into wanting to not play their game.
