The level of opponent in Rivals is so inconsistent!
It’s infuriating and genuinely ruins the game.
One game you batter someone, the next you’re playing a skill cancelling demon.

I do not get this rant. You actually get excited when you batter / stomp on someone However, you get all upset when you get whooped . The issue here is you. Maybe you should figure out how to compete against those you are struggling to stomp on. I can say you've been cherry picking easier opponents.
I hate to break it to you, but not everyone is out to get you. A lot of people just don’t care about rivals, they just get their 8 wins and dip.
Especially this season with swaps available, the majority of people will focus on getting their tokens rather than getting to the highest division in rivals.

Haven’t touched rivals in a week as just concentrating on getting my tokens, if that leaves me in a lower division than I realistically should be then so be it.
Exactly the opposite mate. It’s boring battering players and the same getting battered. I want a fair game. If they’re slightly better then you learn. You learn nothing getting stomped.

I would argue it's the complete opposite. If you get slapped about, you can notice things they're doing that are causing you problems and try and integrate them into your own game. If anything, you learn very little from playing people on your level, all you do is stagnate.
This is true. You learn from playing better players but if you refuse to take notes and just rage quit in anger then you will never improve.

To tie that back to your post, it definitely felt like a different level last night, but it felt connection related for me. I ran a speed check and one point and it was showing 2.4 down, which just doesn't make sense.
It’s an imbalance caused by people moving back up matched with people still lower down because they’ve been more focused on the WC objectives.

One day, you're winning but getting good matchplay then you ou are getting flipped over
No coincidence that since then EA introduced all those competitive game modes. If there is nothing really special to play for then there is no reason to be a ❤️❤️❤️❤️. Your team didn't matter as much as there wasnt really anything to play for anyway. Just to enjoy yourself.
Not to mention that the earlier Fifa's had the option to trade cards with eachother. Which was a reason to be part of this community as you could trade cards. Which would be a great addition again as we all get duplicaten we could trade off with eachother or sbc players.
