Too many Promos, focus on gameplay

There are too many promos, cards , SBC's etc .Gameplay should be the number one priority. This current edition of Fifa is filled with so many issues. However, people are so bent on what cards EA will release on every friday.
It has become so awkward that even the majority of Fifa players are more concerned about what card they will pull.
If this is the new norm, I see the game becoming stale and obsolete soon

I agree with you, but this is why FUT has grown so much in popularity and revenue. It will only get worse from here and definitely not less.
I prefer the older FUTs without sbc's and all this content. Made for a much relaxter game. Nowadays you cant keep your team any longer then two weeks as ea keeps pushing stronger promo cards meaning your team falls behind the curve constantly.
The gameplay hasn't been a good part of fifa for about 4 years.
I dno this game is a shell of its former self. Back in early days when it was just TOTW and then a TOTY it was the best its ever been it terms of community and game play satisfaction.
Ufl goals and am sure 2k is making fifa going forward. Of ea see a big drop in player base when they come out. There focus will be on gameplay.
Issue is - And something EA can't seem to understand is..
Once another competitor game comes out that works everyone will move away from fifa.. They have done the damage already so looking to improve gameplay over content in the future wont be enough.
EA are lucky Konami are as incompetent if not worse than they are. Can't wait to move on from Fifa tbh.
Probably thinking so many people come back to FIFA they will come back when we re-brand to whatever the heck it is.
Personally for me it's the last football game made by EA that I will ever play, games been donkey for years and just because of the brand and growing up on it I've bought it every year.
The guys doing promos have nothing to do with the guys doing gameplay.
Except this is very unlikely to ever happen. EA have monopolised the market and the investment it will take for a serious competitor to emerge is absurd.
The only potential saving grace would be the FIFA name, but again, we're talking stupid money here!
The have lost the licences for most of the leagues i believe? (Could be wrong)
I mean the only reason pro evo really took a nosedive and more people flocked to fifa was the licences they had.
As long as they have the Big 5 leagues, nobody is gonna care if they lose the Belgian league (no offence Belgian fans) With the amount of money they'll able to throw about the place, it's borderline impossible for anybody else to outbid EA for the licenses they need to ensure people play the game. Like I said, they've completely monopolised the entire market.
I don't get this attitude of saying content is at an all time low when the game has barely been out for a few weeks..
Give people a chance to try golds and lower rated players before all these 99 pace meta promo cards come.
People always say the start is the best time to play fut but then get annoyed if there isn't an promo in the first hour its out.
