I'm using a standard looking 41212(2). Haven't lost a game in Rivals on old gen (25 games ish), but lost a couple on new gen so far.
41212(2) is what I defaulted too, I imagine it's still strong old gen given the similar gameplay, but on new gen I find I struggle with a lack of width some games.
I'll probably be extremely adventurous next and give 4231 a try!

Was tempted by that this year during early access, but wanted 2 strikers and a CAM for the triangles. 4231 I come up against a fair bit.

Just feels like I need the width, don't think I'm quite good enough with dribbling/skill moves to utilize a 41212 and the more narrow approach.
Always love the idea of the front three for 1-2's and quick passing but in practice I'm struggling with it this year.
I’m using 3421, but with tweaks so it defends in a 442.
It’s actually less creative than the 5122 when that has full backs on join attack, but is more solid. If you want to get top division and good WL etc, then I’d say mastering the 5122 and controlling your wing backs attacking movement with the dpad would be the most meta at this time.
