It seems that pace stats on next gen are irrelevant, as per the video from Zelonius which

Essentially what the video found is that there was no difference between a CR7 with architect and one with hunter chem styles. I think Zelonius found that a ~20 pace difference is equivalent to 0.5s in real time.
Some will say it’s about time that slower players can hold their own after years of pace being the most important stat. However, it does mean that smaller, agile players are now at a disadvantage if pace is not particularly important as dribbling is worse than previous years.
I know some have gone back to old gen because of this, whilst others have embraced new gen as they want to try a different game this year.

Do we even know how much of a difference pace makes on old gen?
Also new gen in the way forward so might as well get used to it.
I still need more time on some of the new changes. Dribbling was so op last year everyone feels worse which they should. Small agile players feel like they turn faster just not like last year.
I am hoping that we will actually pick good players now not just pace like past fifas.
I feel I should do this but I think new gen will be even worse this year when everyone learns to play the same way etc.
They fixed the drop back issue from last year so I’ll stick with new gen for this year
It’s a little better than fifa22, at least defenders are more responsive.
None of that lenghty stuff, so small & agile players still rule the game.
Still have to get out of div7…i’m facing good players all the time.
I'm running Dalglish up top who at times feels so quick. Although, his pace is next to nothing if he's being marked. Doesn't matter if i'm being tugged. . if there's a player within a few yards his pace is just gone, no acceleration or anything.
I have Bobby Moore and Baresi in defense and they feel very quick. I was just testing out this pace thing and they hold their ground. I'm curious if others will try them and provide feedback.

Plus I don't want to play another year on old gen , won't try it because I know I'll probably prefer the gameplay but it's basically FIFA 21 version 3 I bet.
FIFA is like the only game I play to mostly so playing old gen again would make having a PS5 pretty pointless 😂
Think I'd quit playing rather than go to old gen again.
It is a rehash of last year (old gen)
Old gen is alot easier to smash out games on, feels less tedious to play because it's quicker if it's anything like last year , but yea don't want to play a rehash version again.
New gen with slow gameplay can be so draining to play after a couple intense games, but I'll try to stick to it this year.
I accidentally started a game & thought what’s this rubbish until II realised my mistake
