I wish Mutual Quit to be in FUT as Online seasons, sometimes the game lagg or you want to cancel the match when it started, you have a choice 🙂

At least, I get opponent's permission to do it. The game sometimes sucks with delays, can't even move. I check the pin before it was good before accepted the match, Then it goes down ! so what I am suppose to do then ! play 90min with delay game and loose it ! even if I win I will not enjoy it. 😒

It would increase the rubber band reverse psychology I'm willing to make you wait 16 mins or quit for me

Why not add a mutual win option? :) Much less toxic and will stop some people from trying o force you to quit.

Or maybe add the option to have the AI play the match and decide a winner so that players do nnot have to play at all and can just stay in the menus? Ahahahahaha! :)

I will accept anything that lowers the level of toxicity in the game. The responsibility lies with EA.

Madden has been doing this for years. Really depends on your opponent.

It would do nothing or make it worse.
Don't mind rubberbanding, it doesn't happen often to me and at least you get the win and can do the objectives

The person who feels they can win or has the advantage will never agree to it tho

Played hundreds of games back when it was a thing and seen it used once, nobody ever agreed to use it and neither did I when they asked.
  • Would never work in competitive game modes because all the pros will mutually quit and all go 20-0
  • Other than extremely laggy gameplay I don't see the benefit to this

It was just a suggestion because it is available choice in other mode. Agree or not, it is up to EA to add it or not.

I think it is a good choice with cross play enabled in FIFA this year. :)

It is not about toxicity ! it is just a choice.

Totally agree with this, another thing that is in seasons and should be in FUT. No idea why it isnt. I always do this in seasons when the connection is awful and I agree plenty of players wont agree to it but that doesnt mean it shouldnt be an option. When I last played seasons I actually found a higher % of players were agreeing than ever before, for my own part I always agreed even if connection felt fine to me.

Its an option when both players have an awful connection, you usually make the offer in the first minute or 2 of the game and at a stage where you have no idea of your opponents ability it is just about connection. I see no negative to it being an in-game option.

No, because this will be abused

People will be out there sat in there underpants with the sole intention of pulling this rabbit out the hat, Just because.

That and the second they see your team....

Quitting is in the culture now because gg, I'd prefer to get a slightly better reward if I'm on the wrong end of it

NCAA football and madden back in the day had

    Friendly quits.
    Concede defeat
    Grant mercy

If you were up or down by 21 or 28 points you could grant mercy or concede defeat..and believe it or not people used it quite often.

A fifa example would be at half time you are down 4-0..you could concede defeat. You wouldn’t get hit with the cost of a rage quit and stats are counted.

I think it takes us in the wrong direction

It's worse than ever because so many people are grinding every single reward

They are spamming negative play to get under your skin and force the quit

Encourage quality engagement with better rewards, which have to be worked at.

If people quit, then just award the win to the opponent. It's really not hard to implement and the "abuse" of the system is less than the toxicity created by certain types of people.

When quitting impacted your main source of coins (from matches) it actually meant something if these were reduced. You would think twice and three times before forfeiting. Now it doesn't have any real consequence and is ineffective. So people are quitting more than ever.

    Just award the win.

Is been pretty bad this morning. Players getting injured without contact and releasing pass takes forever.

I dont see how it can be abused, as has been pointed out a lot of times the other player wont agree anyway so the guy who wants to back out is still left with the same choice to quit or not to quit. I am not convinced it would lead to wholesale rubber banding in rivals or WL, this game is quit city and other than when the season end is approaching I dont face rubber banders very often though admittedly I do very few friendlies now and I would hazard a guess it can still be rife in that mode when an objective has been met and the win not needed.

But on those occasions when the game is genuinely bad for both you can agree to back out rather than either having to take a loss. I dont see the negatives, its a mutual decision.

I get it I really do and normal people will use it as required

However there isn't a setting or a button or a skill move that some folk just can't help but abuse

Wl for example 5 times I kicked off - opposition kicks to the goalie to kick out of play to quit ?

    Fools will be fools

I think I see what you are saying but yeh even if you get a fool using it for the sake of it, it is seconds to say no, they only get one request and its right at the start of the game. I cant remember how many in-game minutes need to have passed before the option expires but I think i see your logic because it would be in my nature to agree to a mutual quit if asked and it could be simply because they think im better and want to back out.

I mean gees if somebody kicks the ball out of play and pauses when the game resumes I will put it out for a throw in so they get the ball back. I see what your saying I think but I still would rather have it though.
