Varane isn’t the best CB in the game…

SS Ramos is.

The guy is an absolute unit. Lightning fast to close down for tackles. The ball sticks to him and doesn’t rebound. Jockey speed is insane. And if you fancy it, he can go on little adventures up the pitch because of his attacking stats.

Don’t get me wrong Varane is great. I just think Ramos is much better.

Varane was a god in January.

Now everybody has fast dribbling attackers. For us (sub)mediocre players I think Varane has sub optimal balance.

I do not regret completing Varane a single bit but he is not as dominant as his 92 in January-April.

Will try Ramos and Kimpembe to see how it goes.

See I love how aggressive he is. Always steps out perfectly.

I plan to position swap SS Valverde as a CDM, SS Walker as RB and SS Ramos to CB, but will need to wait til I finish Neymar for the link.

SS De Ligt
Over 250 games with him at CB, at least 200 of them he was on 7 chem.

I know, he's not gonna be a top choice for the majority - links, league etc, but until we got 99 Varane, I would rate SS De Ligt as the best CB that I used in 22.

No, in my opinion he is not a vast improvement.

Varane isn't a waste of fodder. I was reluctant to do him due to the cost, but did due to a lot of dupes and he is immense. Best centre back in the game. I've used Chiellini and Cordoba and Varane is much better.

Sure, this is the team I have in mind by the weekend, only missing Neymar at the moment, switching to 41212 in game. If you have Futties WBY he can take the place of Rafinha and you can play a 4222 or 4231.

I honestly don't think varane lives up to the hype. He is obviously very very very good, but I dont think he is clear of chilleini who is 120k.

Kounde Dante Marquinhos etc all seem to do better
have to be patient of course Chellini did not work for me either was a truck in the back

You had to be clueless to do him, as was my mate. Used him over 20 games in co op and I have finally managed to convince my mate to bench him. Not even top ten CB we have used

Keep on tackling(don't tell me u hv never faced those players)
A mistackle penalizes ur defender slightly,but this Varane feels immune to it

Ultimately I had a choice of Varane or Dembele and opted against Varane because of that

Who are the best PL CBs besides Varane? SS Wood, SS Walker, TOTY Dias, etc. If you wanted to play one next to him, who would you choose?

Fact needing a 3rd cb to pair with them 2. And I'd say donnarouma is the only gk who consistently saves shots when you got fifa did you think oh I want a varane 99 card or is r9 not the card everyone aims for
