What is going on with the level of opponent in Div 1 rivals?

It’s high level elite player every game. Usually you’d match someone of equal skill at least 50% of the time but I’m getting battered every game.

It really shows the flaws in this mode.

Also to the high level elite players that hover in that division as they don’t wanna go up to elite. You’re cowards.

The good players are mostly back to elite already. But yeah, as it has been since the beginning of the year , rivals is a very hardcore and unpleasant to play mode.

Season reset was a week ago. If people just play the 8 wins each week they are still in division 1 i think, so plenty of high level players not in elite yet

We’ve had 2 full weeks mate. They aren’t going up on purpose

Div 3 is a shitfest at the moment! Usually move up to Div 1 within a few weeks, today was the first time I got to the milestone 1 in Div 3. Getting spanked 3 out of 4 games

Played my first rivals games tonight in about 2 months so am in div 3. Only bothered because I had Abedi Pele from a pick. Gameplay was lightening fast but the quality of opponent was nowhere near what I used to play in Div 1 and elite, as it should be tho.

It’s actually a joke. I just don’t understand how the level is so much higher than it was in elite before reset?!

I doubt everyone is pushing for elite like at the start of the year. Probably be awhile till everyone moves back up.

So 16 wins. Need 20 points to reach elite from division 2. Thats atleast a 10 game winstreak. If you lose a single game and only play for the 8 wins youre already not reaching elite in that timeframe.

Seems plausible to me that many good players still havent reached elite naturally

I used to finish season with 2000+SR and have absolutely 0 desire to get an 83+ TOTW pick weekly.

I think I played like 20 rival games at max. and got both weeks 8 wins. I am still in Div 1.

I don't know about elite players but I've lost interest in rivals over last couple of months... I used to play in d1 and now I'm in d4. I tend to only play objectives and weekend league now... and honestly if I ever do play rivals it feels like my level. So I suspect a lot are doing the same.

Was in Elite from week 1 at last season. And what? Only 3 low rated tots from all picks, 4 weeks with totw only. So just "8 wins"-mode now and still div 2 for me. Don't care.

Years ago, yeah. Now I accept the game is mince and sometimes it works for me, sometimes against.

Many elite players dont care about elite anymore and just play for 8 wins at this stage of game.

I think with so much to complete at the moment rivals falls to the wayside. Right from the start of this season there have been specific cup modes, swaps online and offline to complete, futties players to collect and then WL qualifiers/WL on top. When it comes to rivals I just quit if I go 1-0 down early so that I can get my 8 wins and I think a fair few others do the same. Means you spend a lot more time in division 2/1 than you should as progress resets from all the quits.

Must admit I'm just staying in div 3 this season gifting few wins in the process. Last thing I care about is going up or season milestone but it does make the 8 wins a much more enjoyable experience. Usually combine with the "win 7 with bundes lg player in starting lineup". Do the outside box in sb etc.

Took me about 4 hours the other night to get through division 1 to elite. Many casuals have stopped playing now the quality of players is probably higher.

Roll on 23 for an equal playing field

I could play in elite but why? There is no point to sweat my ❤️❤️❤️❤️ off for 8 wins when I can easy get them in div 1 or 2. Every pack is stacked with good fodder so there is no difference. Also when the 85x10 repeatable drops - EVERY CARD will be fodder and easily affordable. It is August ffs.
