Can you switch back and forth from old gen to new gen?

I bought old gen for 12 bucks and I then got new gen free with gamepass and downloaded it ... it appears I can switch back and forth between old gen and new gen is that correct? I can tell by the presentation which is which.

Huge difference. Next gen is pure sweat and the gameplay is terrible.

Old gen is still sweaty but atleast at times the game can be ok

Yeah you can. I switch when I don't find opponents in some objectives. The gameplay in old generation is very fast which needs more focus and players just run and pass though balls to score !
