PIM Henry is amazing. Doesnt have 5*SM but his shooting and unique animations make the game so much more. There are many CBs with similiar or even better stats than Maldini.
Vieira, Maldini and Cantona are the only icons I am doing, finished Vieira already and currently on Maldini.
If you only want to focus on one then I would say Vieira, out of all the PIM SBCs, he’s the only one that’s at or close to the best in slot for his position.
I was thinking about doing ronaldo potm but have also been looking at Vieira or Maldini or Cantona to grind out and upgrade my team. Any suggestions?
Complete CR7 if you can. When you compare the prices his POTM is best value for money. From scratch he will cost you 650k, but if you can even get one of the 2 big SBC done with fodder he will drop below 500k. Thats great value.

I know, i used up tons of fodder but early indication for me is that he isn't too far of his TOTY which i used for about 100 games.
Vieira. He's helped me link many players to try, albeit with 8 chem, and he's one of the best in his position so that's one position locked for you for the remaining fut22.
Update I finished ronaldo, spent less than 50k on him, now just doing some upgrades for vieira

Fred is H/H, he's better as a b2b and not a stayback CDM. Plus the way he plays is similar to Kante, Vieira is a different type of player.
I don't think Vieira is worth the coins, there's a few that comes close to his level and don't cost much at all, but nobody is better than Vieira in that mould.

No, the reason H/H is not ideal for a stayback CDM is that even with instructions, the way they position themselves is still higher up the pitch than someone with M/H that has the same instruction.
With players like FS Tchou or PIM Petit, they have some saving grace in that while they're H/H, they are at least very physically dominant, so even if they have to chase down an attacker from behind, they can still knock them off balance. With Fred, when the attacker get their body in the way, he can't really do that much since he's small.
Is Fred a good CDM? Of course, but he isn't a top tier stayback CDM, his aggression and tackling are excellent, but he doesn't shield the backline nearly as well as someone with a better workrate.
Now a follow up question: is Vieira good at CB? I packed Alaba today and he looks like a cracked CDM

Just as an example,I've never conceded <1.5 goals/game in WL,,but this week I did n it was a debut tourney for Vieira,, now m not saying it's all cause of him,but he was a definite factor involved
