they will never do this, you will then get people moaning they got dc from servers, and did not leave , bit like the rubber banding , you cannot stop it
Had a guy get a kick off goal and a long shot to go 2-0 up in 5 minutes. I then dominated till the 57th minute when I scored to go 2-2, he then immediately paused and quit. So frustrating. While you shouldn’t get the win if you’re losing, you should definitely get the win if you’re drawing
If EA did this then it would obviously be abused, because if dumb FIFA players can abuse something in game, they will.
What will happen is that the anti-gaming, golden goal idiots will then (if they just need the win) decide they don’t need to do GG anymore because whoever gets awarded the kickoff, the other player will quit, basically speeding up the process. I bet there’s some moron reading this right now thinking “what a good idea”.
Plus you will get people in competitive modes not even attempting to play the game and just keeping the ball until the opponent quits making the game even more of a chore to play than it already is. Some people already do this after they score first, so I guarantee it will get worse if people are awarded the win when the opponent quits.
And let’s not forget the 4G no loss glitch which could then have the added benefit of giving the cheating ❤️❤️❤️❤️ the win.
If you are finding many opponents quit on you while drawing, then maybe look at how you play the game and how you are ruining the game for your opponent by playing like a complete ❤️❤️❤️❤️ instead of coming on this forum and complaining about it.

Exactly this - there would be plenty who would then play it in a manner that would trigger a "it is not worth it" for the rest of us and we would quit.
Think about those that quit at 0-0, what kind of mentality do these guys have? I can easily imagine that they need 1 win, and they spend that game just playing it around the back from KO just to try to force us to quit. Worse for us who may need that win too, and meet one of these guys.

I would agree on a rule that if your opponent quits after 30 minutes of match of more, you should receive the win.

3 separate quits in WL and all of them deep into the game and drawing. Why should I be penalised by having to pay another match just because someone else doesn’t like being outplayed?
