Reviving one of my favorite careers, VfB Stuttgart where I won the Bundesliga in year two before leaving for Real Madrid and Chelsea. I will be using the same graphic templates I used before, much like StlDucks as we have worked on them together in the past.
Here is the link to my old career if anyone is interested in the past...

For once I will be playing on the Switch. Full manual on World Class difficulty and default sliders for now. Squads are current, transfer window will be open.
I try to play realistic with realistic transfers and using the academy when possible.

I like VfB Stuttgart, especially their development of youth. I believe both Kimmich, Gnabry and Werner came through the Stuttgart academy once. So hopefully you'll be able to develop talents of that level and then keep them on the books this time.
Sosa and Maffeo should cover your full backs nicely, both attacking minded, as far as I know. Orel Mangala is one I signed in a previous career, and he's hands down one of the best signings I've ever made in FIFA. So I'm looking forward to see how this plays out.
Thank you. Mangala was brilliant for me in the past and was promoted to captain after a year. I can’t believe Maffeo was loaned out to Spain in real life, he is so much better than their current RB.
I remember Maffeo from being a young talent at Man City, I actually thought they had the next Carvajal or Dani Alves there, one to play regularly for the next decade in such a club. I haven't seen him since though, IRL, so I can't say what's happened there.
What is your relation to VfB Stuttgart?
I have family from there. My mom was born there and lived there until her 20’s then came to America. I have been back and forth, currently in America but still have family in Stuttgart.
A tough month for Boog Fisher in his return to Germany. Starting the season with a close win over Furth, VfB were unlucky to drop points to RB Leipzig late in the match. Andre Silva was at the right place to tap in a saved shot giving his side the lead. In the last match of the month, VfB were completely outplayed by Frankfurt but still kept it close until the closing 15 minutes when the match was put away.
Hope is still high for Stuttgart, showing fight in every match while the team still tries to find identity.
VfB Stuttgart made one signing during the summer transfer window. Bringing in Miles Robinson from Atlanta FC in the MLS. Robinson is a US International who has become a starter for the national team and a key member in the defense. The 24 year old defender has good pace, is comfortable on the ball and can outjump most attackers.
I like the signing of Robinson, an American joining a Bundesliga side, emulating Adams, McKennie, Sargent etc. Pretty realistic. I also like his combination of pace and physique, and it has put him in many of my shortlists in various saves. But somehow I've never signed him, I think, often finding him to be too expensive according to his market value or even unapproachable due to being too important in his current club.
I think it's a great signing, with a great age too.
Anyway, fun to see someone like Donis playing a role there, I've just had him in a crucial role in a Vejle Boldklub save here in FIFA22. Breel Embolo was also a highly regarded young forward, but IRL I guess injuries have kept him away from reaching the level I anticipated for him some years ago.
So perhaps Embolo would actually be in range for a return to Stuttgart in this new save of yours?
That is what I was thinking, a young American going to Germany is the pattern USA players have been doing lately. I was scouting two defensive American's actually. The other was Antonee Robinson the LB from Fulham. He was a little more expensive and a CB was more urgent for my needs. Only 8 million Euros for Miles Robinson, for a mid-20 defender with his potential I liked the price tag.
The other Robinson might be a winter buy if LB depth is still needed so he can rotate with Sosa.
The boards were awesome back then. So many posters and people participating in stories, made it fun to post. I actually looked at bringing Embolo back but VfB have a few young strikers that I want to try first to see if they pan out and save us some funds.
Improved results for Stuttgart in September. A 0-0 draw to start the month followed by a tough point against Leverkusen. Stuttgart had their chances to win in the second half but poor finishing cost them in the end. The month ended with a much needed three points over the leagues worst side. Again, Stuttgart should have scored more but hit the post on three attempts and failed to convert numerous open chances.
I see Mavropanos and Robinson on your Leverkusen screenshot. Are they your preferred CB-pair now?
I actually have a system change going to a 523 formation. With three good CBs and only one game a week I decided to use all three for now.
An article will be posted soon with the details. Holiday weekend here so I did not have much time for updates this week.
No worries mate. I had actually forgot that you mentioned your preferred formation in the opening post. Just saw the two on the screenshot and started thinking. Especially since the Greek is on loan, as far as I recall.
Midtable is right where we want to be. A good cup run and top 8 finish would be a great season.
A change in formation sparked the VfB attack. Switching to a 5-2-3, the new attack is focused on getting the ball wide and sending crosses long into the box. This style worked for four goals against Union Berlin and another six against Werder Bremen in the DfB Pokal.
The 6-0 win was the largest ever win for Boog Fisher, beating out his previous high of a 6-1 win over RB Leipzig in 2019.
If I'm right you should also have two young Danes in your squad; Nartey and Faghir. Have any of them had the chance to impress so far?
Nartey has been used as a sub a few times, this last match he played a key role. Faghir I am trying to send out for loan, he is just below the rest of the guys for the midfield spots.
Midfield? Faghir is a striker, one of these physical "in the box" type of strikers. Did you see him as a midfielder?
Good to know with Nartey, I hope he'll make a name for himself. His little brother, Noah Nartey, is currently playing in the youth team of my favourite club in Denmark, Brøndby IF, but unfortunately he isn't in the game yet. He's also only 16, so his time will come.
No, you are correct he is a striker. Not sure why I typed midfield. He is currently behind Kalajdzic, Tomas, Marmoush and my converted winger to striker Silas. But I need to raise some funds for depth in other positions so a few of those strikers will be listed in the coming windows.
Right now with limited games I am giving the higher rated players a chance first. Tomas I already know will be leaving. His touch is awful and he’s too slow.
I will give Faghir a shot in the coming games. Nartey played the last two games and I am starting to like him.
I agree, seems like the club has everything needed to be successful. They just can’t put it all together!
Unfortunately I did not save the last save. Or maybe it is fortunate? I do not have Bayern in the cup now so I will be reposting the cup draw. I have SC Paderborn now but I was looking forward to playing Bayern.
I will post the table in a few matches but currently I am 5th. Two points off the fourth spot but only two points ahead of 8th.
