I’m usually done on a Friday night recently, took a lot longer this weekend as we played a full Div 1 season on clubs Friday night then I was out in Town with work colleagues yesterday. So I had to play the vast majority of games this morning. Finished 11-7 which is pretty much what I’m finishing bang on every week now. Had a terrible time during the week on DR so I was a little worried it would be a struggle to 11 this week but it ended up being fine.
Happy with that team, nobody let me down this week. I’ve hated that Eric Bailly previously but because he works for chem I keep going back to him. Changed from shadow to anchor this weekend and he was better. The rest of the team spot on to be honest, don’t feel any immediate weak links. Cruyff is the standout though.
Rewards were red Jonny, Mkhitarayan and Guendouzi. TOTW pack not a lot, packs brought me Haaland, some fodder and the new Lloris who is surprisingly 170k, so no complaints there.
Currently 5-1 after going 6-0 through qualifying (gifted the rest) with this team and enjoying it, despite a really sloppy early loss that saw FB Neuer benched.
Not bothered about losing coins before TOTS, so swapped out Dembele for the similarly inflated ASM and enjoying him much more. Thiago is a cracking card as well (surely getting a +2 by next weekend) and somewhat slept on. His passing is exquisite as is his left stick dribbling, but the 3* weakfoot can be a pain at times.
Playing quite narrow most games to counter 4222 and 352 teams.

His mendy was fantastic,,pulled a save off rice's header but he slot in the rebound
Then saved header from DCL n a volley from Drogba
From a corner,rice jumped highest to head it which was again saved by mendy,but his rebound went in via a defender
He cldn't create much in 2nd half,but was dancing well with cruyff
3-4 loss in a rush hour game,, we were both at each other necks from the start,,he scored 2 quick fire goals n it took me some time,but I equalized through kdb n weghorst(griezmann in 2nd half changed my game)
In ET,he added another n I made it 3-3( 👑 drogba blast),b4 griezmann was sent off for a casual tackle
He scored 4th,denied me an equalizer n won n I was fuming
Using this team as I wanted to try out the MLS Squad Foundation players and it was fun to use in rivals but maybe it's not quite good enough for Champs or I need more time with the formation (don't usually use it but had to to fit the players in) as I'm struggling a little.
Won 6 from 12 so far which is slightly behind where I'm usually at but for whatever reason this weekend I keep coming up against extremely sweaty/ratty players who sit with at least 8 players camped on the edge of their box spamming through balls up to a pacy striker. So frustrating and I'm not the best at dribbling so find it hard to break them down (unless they're not actually very good) as the stupidly OP auto-block just bails them out again and again.
Used Seedorf partly for chem and partly as he was the best pick from the mid/prime pick a couple of weeks ago -really doesn't work for me in that CM role so if I'm to persevere with the MLS route will need to jiggle the team around. Need a way to get Neuer out as well as I've never used a 'keeper who punches so many catchable crosses and pushes every shot that isn't weak and central behind for a corner. Balde and Suker really good up top and Socrates (when he doesn't keep drifting out left for some reason) is and has been a don for me since I packed him a while ago.
Just did this weekend for the icon swap token but may give up on it and just get the last 3 or 4 wins next week as the gameplay has been awful for me, or at least really inconsistent, and as I said have come up against a lot of rats who are inevitably toxic. Came up against a guy with a stacked team full of prime/PIM icons and TOTYs who just sat back with everyone except PIM Butra and spammed through balls. Just to see whether he was dropping back quick or genuinely playing like 1 depth I passed back to my GK and could see on the radar he had his back line on the edge of his own box with his CDMs just in front even when I had the ball inside my own box. Even doing that caused him to pause the game, send me an abusive message for 'not playing the game' then when he scored (he won 3-1) kept doing long celebrations and pausing it for the full time allowed until he ran out of pauses then sent another abusive message after the game. Honestly the state of some of the people who play this game.

A solo SM goal by weghorst after a lot of chances went wasteful in 1st half,,he was camped inside his 30m,so I passed aimlessly for last 25min,,dest did get a goal in the end
He had 2 efforts,,both 1st touch shots,1 saved by mendy,n other going in
Twice I got the got n was unable to convert due to button delay(one was a sure shot goal as DCL was against empty net)
Fortunately he wasted his chances too
Scored the solo goal in 90th minute with caliguri supplying weghorst for an easy header against bailly

Yeah when I’m stretched for time but want a decent rank I’ll quit if I go behind and play for the win if I score first.
There are exceptions though. Conceded first to a NIF team because I wasn’t paying attention. Stayed in that one and he quit at 4-1 in the first half. If I get the feeling that I can win comfortably before the first goal I’ll always stay.
On the other hand, if I go 2-0 down I’ll quit regardless.
Did the whole 20 games in 3 hours earlier.
If I have time I’ll always try and get the best rank I can. Which sadly is 13 wins this year.
Went 2-0 ahead,, game paused on both times he scored,,n then my drogba missed an empty net(went for a bicycle instead of head),,he got a penalty in end n won 3-2
Finally a smooth game,,n he was a tough player,went 2 ahead through his ADP n Mkhi n I was quite devastated,,his player switching was really well,,but was constantly bringing forward his VDS at the slightest hint of my attack
Then I scored a kick off goal 😆 🤣 😂
Rainbow flick with drogba followed by 2 heel flicks n blasting it past his lloris
He tried that too,but I won a tackle n on counter phonsie gave a sexy cross which drogba buried for my equalizer
Then weghorst was set loose for my lead,which was very easily canceled by his ADP,,but within 10 min I scored 2(drogba's missile n weghorst's header) n he left
Finished 10 10. Screw up the last game. Are we the bottlers? 🥴

I actually quite enjoyed my matches for the most part this weekend. Showdown pair Weghorst and Richarlison were a handful, with FB Sancho making me wonder why I've been so hesitant to do proper wing play for so long.
I changed it up to a premiership based 442, with fullbacks joining every attack. Yeah the results are the same as always, but it was way more fun.
I've had Harvey Barnes on the left as well. Proper weak link in the side! Couldn't be bothered to change him, but I've decided I need to find the LM version of Sancho there for next time.
That Neymar IF looks great, and Nuno Mendes could get him in on full chem, but I've been liking red Robertson and it would be a hell of an outlay on cards that'll probably be half the price in two weeks..
Just finished my most successful WL ever. I feel so accomplished had never had more then 13 wins this year. Did not face weghorst once all 20 games I wonder if he was not as good as everyone was hyping him up 2 be. Richarlson my mvp finally someone dethroned potm mbappe. This was a fun WL. Everyone played an important role.
Wasn’t going to bother this week since I’m a bit tight for time but since Defoe came out I wanted to try him out so did his SBC and dropped TOTY Mbappe, FB Neymar and SD Thiago Mendes for him, Sterling and Allan.
Gave away the first 3 to make life easier (don’t judge me, only had around 2 hours playing time available 🙈) then won the next 9 (most of them RQs) and gave the rest away.
Ran into some right ❤️❤️❤️❤️ along the way abusing constant cutback attempts, kickoff goals, 4 people who quit while drawing, teams playing like they were on steroids and 1 chap worth a mention who decided to message me some abuse since he didn’t take kindly to a couple of Gers smashing 6 past him 🤣.
Kent and Defoe are a great pairing upfront and scored 26 between them in the 9 games. Can see them becoming my permanent 2 STs but need a better option than Sterling at LM.
Allan is great as a stay back CM/CDM.
Reds were OK, TOTW pack was the same players though 🤷🏼♂️

He had Marquinhos n Medina as CB but I just cldn't cross thanx to it's in the game,,game froze in so many uncountable crucial moments

Altogether like 30-40k in value for winning 5 games, so could've been worse.

Finished once more 14-5, after managing a good 6-0 start. Both the TOTW pack and reds are not even worthwhile mentioning.
Looking forward to a subsequent increase for Caligiuri and Hincapie, who both have performed brilliantly this week.
