    Australia did more than USA.

I’ll bite just because I’m curious how you spin it.

    How did Australia do more?

Only lost 2-1 to a better team than USA lost 3-1 to (and almost took it to ET at the death).

We will see who is better soon but I think Netherlands are the better team overall. Argentina rely on Messi for everything.

And allowing another goal, if Argentina were better they would have scored a 3rd at the end when Australia was open. Like Netherlands did when we were trying to attack towards the end.

Are this Argentina team any better than Netherlands? We'll find out soon I guess, but I've not seen much to indicate they are.

No one is better than France from what I’ve seen and their depth from the bench is scary. Any team can win on the day of course.

It's Brazil or France for the trophy all day for me, can't see past Brazil personally but France are definitely my choice for 2nd.

Most people predict Brazil v France final anyway before the tournament started, any Argentina picks were down to the fairytale they want for Messi

Any team with Otamendi at the back can be got at, Argentina heavily rely on Messi. Can see Netherlands snuffing Argentina out and hitting them on the counter with pace. Much like they did against the USA.

Did anyone watch Netherlands v Ecuador? I know it doesnt work like this but a worse South American side outplayed them. Netherlands v Argentina is going to be a ridiculously tight game. Netherlands are not superior to Argentina even if they beat them they will have taken a chance and just sat on it the entire time. France are the class of the tournament in a knockout game bad luck could cost them but they look the best team to me.

The result of Netherlands vs Argentina doesn’t prove who is better. Anything can happen in knock out football.

Argentina were always higher than Netherlands in the betting odds though.

How you lot feeling about facing the Lions of Teranga? Got your excuses ready to go?

If they lose it’s Southgates fault. If they win it’s because Saka and Sterling are great.

If Mane was healthy I think Senegal would actually have a good chance.

Shame that Mane is injured, big game player. I'll be rooting for the underdogs now that USA are out, hoping for more upsets and drama.

Quietly confident, I suspect Southgate will stick with the team that beat Wales. Famous last words but I don’t think Senegal have enough upfront to break us down.

Think we win a tough close game. Not overly confident but do still expect us to get the job done tonight.

    Sounds like cause for disqualification

Lewandowski putting on his usual disaster class in a tournament game for Poland.

Poland looking decent though, look far more threatening than they did against Argentina

France's defence can be got at

Feels like Poland missed their good chances and now France will be taking over.

Think so too. Got to be burying that chance earlier. Saying that France do like sit back on a lead and as we saw Vs Switzerland in the euros they have a defensive meltdown in them.
