The problem is, after 10+ years of awful online gameplay, the bar - and what constitutes 'quite good' - is so horrifically low. The community's rock-bottom expectations are what will stop FIFA from ever actually being a consistently decent game. No other community would have stood for it, especially not for so long, but we happily pump billions their way every year.
Fifa was a great game till the last update and now the centre halves don’t seem to mark the striker and the cdms don’t want to track back.

Play with everything put on default. All tactics default and Balanced atttack/defence

I doubt you'll find much sympathy here. Most have 'op teams', are in div 1+ and play in a similar way.
It's not hard to build a competitive team anymore, maybe you just need a break.
it's just a through ball simulator now and it's very boring. played rivals past few days to get into elite and if you told me i was playing the same person every time id have believed it.
Honest question how do I win a game of fifa ? Custom tactics don't work I change my tactics the team I play has better tactics.. I have players with 95 shooting can't score? 95 passing can't pass.. defenders with traits concede goals.. im conceding a goal 2 mins into a game I've tried every formation different leagues it's becoming soul destroying like really something I enjoy has become impossible to play ea have really messed up with updates.. for me as a fan I just can't play the game anymore like it wants me too put money into it and I'm going to keep losing if I don't..

Its not you my friend, its the game. The game is completely been designed for noobs and dictated by pro gamers/you tubers/game changers. The majority of the community has no say and their feedback is just binned. Passing is horrible, shooting is horrible, its always run down the byline and cut back. Even if you defend it, the balls trajectory evades your defender.
Or when you score, you immediately concede a kick off goal.
The game does not reward football period. I was belting players playing 4231, 442, 442(2), 41212, 41212(2), 352, and even 5 at the backs with my anti-meta system the 3142. After the last patch the system is completely useless. Has my opponents play style changed not one bit. They all play the same, from kick off, skill move, then skill cancel, shot then shot cancel, into a skill then skill cancel.
This is because of EA allowing this kind of ❤️❤️❤️❤️ to happen in the game. No matter how much you scream, shout they just ignore you. Watch close to Fifa 23 release on how they hype another disaster. New Gen the game is completely unplayable, with everyone playing drop back.
Almost 90% of players just spam driven passes from 180 degree angles and get rewarded. That's cause EA's passing mechanic corrects the ❤️❤️❤️❤️.
I'm waiting for UFL, should be release towards the end of this year around November and also waiting for Goals, where they guaranteed the footballer would more likely win games. in fifa its a coin toss. The type of playstyle that has dictated fifa is sit back and spam through balls. A normal passing, possession game, looking for open space, and passing into wide open spaces are penalized

The game now does nothing but reward players sitting back now as the second man press cannot be used and changing players is never consistent. So where I used to play 3 at the back with a 90 high line, I cannot attack the ball with the second man press and have my controlled defender ready for either a pass or to help tackle. So only option is to pack as many players back and hope it works.
Defending for me is now near impossible for how I have played all year, learning a new way of playing when everyone had 94/95/96 rated teams isnt fun. Everyone just runs in a straight line, tackling is ineffective or weak. When you are lucky to make a tackle, 50% of the time it breaks back to the opposition.
Also I have been smashed in the last few games with people not making 100 passes, one guy scored 7 with 62 passes. A football game where passing doesn't matter. It's insane. It isn't basketball, passing should be the most effective way to play, dribbling secondary.
I wouldn't mind a compromise on defending if the passing (I typically make 150-170 passes a game) was much better. Obviously this doesn't effect everyone to this degree but really feel like the way I can and enjoy playing is now a huge disadvantage to me.

I have just finally did it fifa is deleted.... this piece of ❤️❤️❤️❤️ game is targeted to rich people and streamers with no life... its not for a normal person to play anymore... I've upgraded my monitor and my Internet speed and I keep getting ❤️❤️❤️❤️ who are sad sad no lifers.... I really hope this game goes to ❤️❤️❤️❤️ but too many ❤️❤️❤️❤️ will keep this this going... ❤️❤️❤️❤️ you ea and your ❤️❤️❤️❤️ profit making ❤️❤️❤️❤️
