Anyone else really struggling with defending atm?

Feel like I’ve tried every formation , depth , Press type and nothing works. Players just seem to stand off my opponents I’m currently in div 1 but the lack of response from the defence is really annoying atm

The game is broken beyond repair. You can possibly expect to defend at a decent level when player switching is broken and random. L1 is supposed to highlight the closest player to the ball but 99% of the time it doesn't!!

Yeah even the right stick switch is broken, I could easily force an off side with the one player keeping my opponent onside but do you think it will switch to him? Nope

Something is wrong with player switching, even one on one defending feels delayed

You’ll definitely struggle if you attempt to defend manually, no wonder why drop back / AI bail out is gaining popularity per day !

Ye feels like my defenders constantly on there heels

And nowhere near the palyer yet the opposition on my team like mad straight away. EVen pressing in my own BOX what a joke!

I struggle to attack any formations I use the other team stand still and man mark everyone in my team.yet they can play 2 passes and in on goal.
This is every game they attack with no effort
I have to really work my chances

Same with defending they just stand still and tackle I’ve got to chase them down constantly I win more than I lose but can’t understand how easy it is for people to attack while my players don’t make no runs

l1 run don’t work either
Same for player switching and skill moves don’t work half the time

Player switching has gone downhill from an already low position. The game just doesn't switch to anyone helpful in time, especially as pretty much every team now has super quick skillful attackers which require quick player switching to deal with most times. The AI defenders also seem to have become more unresponsive - the amount of times they've just stood and watched a player go by them is ridiculous.

I've got no motivation to play this game at all. Even though the gameplay's always been bad I've enjoyed doing objectives and icon swaps etc. as I'm a bit of a completionist gaming-wise anyway, but the last few weeks I've barely picked the game up as it's just too boring and tedious to play as you're either fighting against the poor mechanics or the people playing with 8 men behind the ball, which in their defence is likely because it's the only way to defend 'normally' without the game making your CB jog out of the way of an attacker then select your CAM when you try and switch back to pull him back into position again.

Same nothing is working I'm really struggling last few days. Got my lowest ever elite skill rating and struggling in WL.

Played 2 games in WL lost both not even competing last week was 6-2 at the start dunno what’s happened to the game

You mean you don't want to select a striker who's half the pitch away?!

I get what you mean, switching is a disaster
