Fodder question: Icon PP vs M/P icon pack vs FB Varane

I'm pretty unlucky with tradable packs this Fifa and this is my team so far (Messi untr.):


I have around 70 good value packs saved (Ultimate, Jumbo RP, Rare players packs, attackers and 25+ from swaps) so expecting some fodder to complete one of the SBCs available. Which one would be better:

1) complete Varane - at least you know what you are getting. Faced him in rivals 2-3 times already and he didn't impress to be honest (Division 1 rank 1);
2) Complete icon PP - some of the "above average" icons will still make my team as you can see;
3) Complete Mid/Prime icon pack;
4) Prime Dalglish - used him in previous Fifas and he was good. icardi seems to be very inconsistent and sluggish after patch;
5) Paqueta + something else?

Division 1, 9-11 wins in WL, almost no coins :-)

Any advice please?

I've played Varane about 3-4 times and he didn't give me problems surprisingly but I will say it could be because I'm playing WL and the players aren't as good as elite.

Option 1 by a million miles. You can’t judge a card by facing him as the person holding the controls makes an insane difference.

A pro with skill rating of 2300 plus has given him a glowing review and described him as a monster.

Butragueno, Maldini, Lautaro Martinez (can be linked to your Icardi) are all Coming soon. If you are happy with your CBs, don't complete Varane

Maybe buy WW Guendouzi and replace Tchouameni

If you are smart, Varane. If you like to gamble, pp. Also depends on what you need in your team. From what I see you can upgrade your defence so Varane seems the most optimal choice.

Yeah that totally makes sense. It might also depend on the connection though

Well tbh 90% of the reviews describe him as a monster

Never used Butra, but he is the one always scoring vs me. Lautaro special card? Haven't heard any leaks on that one

Do Varane. It’s a centre back sorted until the end of the game. I’m a sucker for icon gambles but Varane is a safe option.
