You can’t have competitive game modes where certain players get competitive advantages
It’s incredibly unfair to give players competitive advantages based on connections, especially if they have poor connection speeds.
If someone has a faster connection than me and can have quicker reactions or quicker adjustments, then I’m fine with it.
What irks me the most is when the gameplay or AI changes based on the connection. The AI should play identical for both players, same goes for stray bounces, tackles, etc. But instead players can win a tackle no matter when they time it, bounces will always go a certain players way, the AI will swarm the ball carrier, while other times leave huge holes.
I’ve been the lucky recipient to be on the winning side sometimes, and I’ve been on the unfortunate side many times as well.
All I’m asking for is that each game be a fair balanced game no user should have any type of advantage in a competitive mode

Other things I find harder to explain. Like how in a game they can get 3 rebounds fall right in the path of their striker for tap ins. The chance of this happening assuming the game follows the laws of physics must be very slim. For the ball to hit the post or keeper and rebound at the perfect angle to their striker 3 times. It only happens when you feel the whole game is against you. I guess due to connection....

It would be exactly the same.
You wouldn't magically improve in ranks, because the game is not out to get you specifically.
Actually connection makes a massive difference to my rank. Last year I would get 15 wins in futchamps in constant really bad connection disadvantage gameplay and 22 wins in only slightly bad gameplay. Never experienced a full run of 100% smooth gameplay like some people get.

I’m in the same boat Suzuki in that Connection makes a huge difference to my WL rank. Last year I could either flirt with elite or struggle to get G3. This year I’ve had 2 weekends where my connection has been good and hit 14/15 wins and at its worst I have struggled to get 8 wins.
Why would I lie?
You know the worst thing I see here is people pretending to be smart but in reality very dumb.If I had to explain to you what happens in the game then you need your brain testing. Not many people enjoy this coded crap, I don’t even find any joy in winning. To also tell people is in their heads while ignoring the fact games are always one sided is beyond believe.
People will eventually get tired of this manipulation.

I have to agree that it is just nonesense to assert the game only works against say “me”.
However, most of us admit the flaws of the game, how it is set up by developers to be “gamey” & to score goals similar to the nba having a 24 second shot clock or like no zone d is essentially allowed in nba —
In rl, the team that deserves to win doesn’t always get the w, and this is replicated in eas version.
One of the things that separates the average to the very good fifa players is navigating the game when whacky ea things happen — like champions do in rl, the good players find a way to win —
I will add that my experience is that connection and monitor/tv issues can be a huge huge handicap….when I play this game in the us, i have huge input disadvantage and all the ai is delayed, bounce backs tackles gk saves, triggering runs don’t work….all of the game is hair pulling frustration…when I play in europe, sure I get maybe 25% lag disadvantage or just not my day or whatever — but the connection my tv/monitor & game center issues and gameplay in us is simply awful — not a chance I would play this game if i was stuck in the us permanently— so there are legit issues ea may need to address — but yeah, it’s ridiculous conspiracy theory stuff to think ea singles one out to get them….
All I’m trying to say is the game shouldn’t sway a certain way for any reason (especially in competitive game modes). It should be an even matchup, if someone has a superior connection over me and is able to handle me, I’d rather deal with that instead of the game giving another player the advantage
Not being good myself, I can tell when my opponent is better but getting screwed and when I am better and get screwed.
Someone might say "it balances out in the end" but unlike point accumulation in real league where it evens out at the end of the season, I go into games to enjoy them, it is not fun to win a game while still wanting to smash my controller, I am honest enough to say that I probably won matches I did not deserve but that does make it easier to swallow some of the losses.
I was practically playing without triggering runs or come backs , they do not work most of the time in the US east coast.
I also should have stated I’m the US, in fact I’m only about 200 miles from Ea Vancouver, yet can never get a game with Ping less than 24/26 (Usually it’s 28-32) and I play mostly players from Mexico and South America
Not at all, I can’t be the only person that goes through this.
But to tell people that it doesn’t exist and is all in their heads is pathetic.
When you play someone above your skill level you noticed in the first few minutes.
These games are absolutely fine but anything else gets involved ruins the fun.
Lastly I know some players can cope with it but not everyone have that skill.
