Sadly, I'm not too sure if New Gen is fairing any better.

I'm playing on an Xbox Series X and sure the game looks lovely but EA have butchered it. Auto dropback is killing the fun expansive game of football.

Hyper motion is lovely offline but online crippled with lag it's a horrible experience.

FIFA 21 on the XBSX was decent. 22 so far...meh.

I am only a couple of days in on new gen and haven't played Fifa for a few years but from memory not a lot has changed and its still the same beast in a better looking looking shell!

While I am here, does anyone know how I can create a new post as I am struggling to do this as I need some advice.

I've been playing a bit of Pure Pool (great game btw) just to give me something calming because FIFA makes me want to break things.

From release up until yesterday I was 99% New Gen, yesterday I picked up Old Gen for more than 3games and its where I'm sticking.

Its difficult to weigh up whats worse though;

New Gen - boxes rammed full with players and no space.

vs

Old Gen - GK's are ridiculous, they dont save a thing.

So far Old Gen pips it as at least its more fun but jesus christ the comparison of GK's on the consoles is night and day, New Gen they are good, Old Gen they are shockingly bad, I literally didn't have a clue what people were on about before but it needs fixing so bad, its like they dont have arms.

I swear if EA just mixed New and Old gen the game would be decent.

Yep old gen way better gameplay wise but at least all menus and load ups a lot quicker on new console so overall all worth it
