First got my first champ points i can play 8 games now but is this same as weekend league or? Can someone explain?

Sounds like youre in the playoffs. Should be 9 games instead of 8 though. If you win 5 out of 9 you qualify for the WL (you will also need to play the other matches in the playoffs to get enough points)
