Loanees in friendlies

I'm i going crazy pretty sure none of my loanees remaining matches went down in friendlies. Have I just not noticed or this a new thing or glitch?

Definitely didn't last year, but as far as I had noticed non of my regular players contracts went down whilst playing friendlies and I'm sure I used other loan players this year and number hasn't gone down. For example I have Robbie Keane Loan still on 7 and I have used him in loads of friendly matches before

I’m sure it’s been that way for ages.. definitely before last year as I didn’t play.

Contracts don't get used in Friendlies.

This has been in the game since the implementation of friendlies. It’s why there is a limit of 1 loan player per objective

As others have said its been so for sometime. what i do think is new is that it tallys your stats and also remembers red cards.

Weird, i've used Di Natale loan in 3 of the Red Link matches and he's still at 7.

Yes, dunno of its linked to quits as I've played more than 2 games 4 or 5 but one I quit and one my opponent quit. Never encountered it til now.
