All they had to do was limit promotion/relegation to every Thursday and the problem of self relegation would have been drastically curtailed. Instead, they put in place a system where people are set up to fail (and with worse rewards to boot). Pure genius…
Yes there was also one about champs and how many players have left game. Only ea know the numbers and if too many are leaving we could see change to both modes
Here's my take on it. When you play in DR with someone of similar skill, the game is supposed to be tight. I've had a lot of draws even in 21 where every match had hockey scores. Even if you lose a few tight games in a row, that's normal in a long run.
If you are getting smashed straight from the beginning, just quit and jump on the next game - you will not be penalized (other than minor decrease of your coin earnings which no one cares about) and eventually you'll get your wins.
Isn’t it weird that u are “getting smacked” in the current division but won atleast two consecutive games in only one division before that one?
And if so, those players will advance to a higher division in no-time if they are “smacking” the whole division.
I’m in div 1 atm and still lose now and then. However those games where Im losing it makes me better you learn from those games. If u playing against a kid with 1 hand u never get better at the game.
TLDR; its better then last year with all the pro’s in div 4/5 just for easy objectives.

Couldn't agree more I'm all for the current system last couple of years have been stuck in lower divs 8 ish as all the relegators were making things really difficult this fifa I'm 2 wins off div 4. My game play is improving as I'm playing people at my level and having to improve my game and team at a steady pace.

This is the right take on it personally unfortunately you have a pot of people that think they should win every game, another pot of people that think they are way better than they are and another pot of people who have both traits mixed together.
Even games where I am getting dominated I still fight the full game see if I can learn anything.
But the thing is is not what we think thou it's now picking up attraction on articles get.

Agree a lot of it is laziness people need to work at it and improve. If they lose loads of games in a row then there's a reason why. Change things up, change your tactics, players etc. People can't expect to win every single match

I have no issue losing but I feel Rivals and Friendlies should be fun to play and against people my level. I'm now in Div 5 and I'm really struggling and find myself quitting most games. This year how can I improve if I quit within half hr cause I'm 4/5-0 down and getting no rewards because I can't even get 3 wins let alone 7. Div 6 I was ok with I won some I lost some now I've got 2 wins this week and can't bare playing it anymore
That's the point if getting hammered quit for sake of 200 coins and move on. Examine your game and change things up I've struggled at fifa for last 2 years this year I've actually made strides forward with the new system

That's the problem, what you're saying is 100% correct and valid.
EA know this, and they know that many players will be in your position, and a lot of those players will be seeing the 7 win rewards upgrade and thinking "how can I reach those 7 wins in the week and still have time for everything else"

Prior to 22 launching, you could get a cat, somehow manage to teach the cat very limited English, explain to him the intricacies of FIFA, and the cat which it's very limited grasp of the human language would tell you that there in theory are MASSIVE flaws with what EA are proposing with Rivals this year. I refuse to believe the multi billion dollar company doesn't have people capable of seeing that this system would cause these problems.
Agree a lot of it is laziness people need to work at it and improve. If they lose loads of games in a row then there's a reason why. Change things up, change your tactics, players etc. People can't expect to win every single match
It's draining - or atleast for me it is - to play on top of your game every game. I could smash out many games aslong as the matchmaking is random. I usually play like 10/15 WL games if I have the time, but I never play that amount of games after eachother in Elite

If I’m on a bad run of form like a few weeks ago I don’t want to lose 39 out of 40 games and then go up a div when I win a couple. I want to go down and give me a chance to play me way out of it. It was a horrible time and I wanted to Jack it in tbh.
I’m on the verge of 1 now but I know it’s a false position when I do go up, as My stats read
Won 140. Drawn 25 lost 231. Yet I’m near the top of the tree 🤷♂️

1. Separate rivals from all objectives.
2. Make all objective modes with online play (friendlies) ELO matchmaking.
This way rivals can be competitive and fun and EA can bring back relegation because no one would relegate for objectives.
Friendlies matchmaking would even out. If you match against tough opponents for a few matches you will eventually get easier ones and vice versa.
