Why is Fifa Community so Toxic
Is it just the Fifa Community that is so toxic or is it gaming in general?
After almost every game i send a GG, usually if they have beaten me i often get an insult about being ❤️❤️❤️❤️ and after games I've won its usually just general insults.
Just now i played, well I say played a game in friendlies, guy asked of we could do objectives said yeah no probs let them grab a couple then they went into beast mode not allowing me to do mine. Then they message demanding i quit as they don't have time. I had a few things i needed to do so just put contoller down and left them to play with themselves to which i returned to a long list of abusive messages.
I genuinely don't get it, i know its always been around and know it was really bad in WWE games years ago when i played them so is it a gaming community thing or a Fifa Community thing?
If it isn't obvious I've only started playing online again during last year after going some time without and I don't play much else other than Fifa

Regardless of what folks say about people generally being good, that isn't the case. People, in actuality, are more likely to be complete and utter bellends than they are to be good and fair.
And 'tis only getting worse.
Oh I never tend to reply unless I'm in a wind up mood nor do they get to me, just don't understand why people get so angry over a game
toxic plays, wasting time in a boring manner, trying everything to get into your head etc etc
this happens because people are not playing for fun anymore, but for rewards
Not just friendlies, although if I see some one with a prem team and one random la liga I figure they're doing challenges so will help where I can.
But yeah weekend league I gifted a few games 1/3 celebrated like he'd busted his nut to get the goal. Then get a message of I suck... my team name was free win BTW.
All in all I think its just an people problem the game just brings out their bad side
I've had abuse when I won, lost and abuse when I didn't quit. I never quit Rivals or WL games as I don't want to get punished for doing so and always want to try and win.
Friendlies I quit most of the time as not punished for it by EA but in your case you had an agreement so that's poor from him and I'd do the same as you.
All these Friendlies agreements of golden goal... well I don't know where it comes from? On here I see it but I've been 4 up and someone hasn't quit or I've gone 1 up, the opponent goes 2-1 up and they start pausing the game asking me why I'm not quiting!! WTF is that about?!
Just ignore it or wind them up if in the mood like I do as they obviously have issues.
100%, the game isnt bad its the people that play it.
Certain people play it like you're the enemy and not just another person playing a game, which is ment to be fun.
I'd say a high percentage of FUT players dont even play this game for fun and more as an addiction or chore, there is no way certain playstyles are fun, they are so sweaty and intense it cannot be good for you.
FIFA also manages to infuriate people more than any other game which is weird, I'd love to know why, I think part of it is people think they are better than the opponent, add that to the passion of football and you got a recipe for rage.
It's going to take some time for that behaviour to change
This was nail on the head. Ea encouraged the pathetic way to play. Now they just make the game so frustrating with input lag and random crap thqt its nearly just as bad just minus celebrations
Count yourself lucky if you happen to come across someone who has the brains to message you so you can exchange and help each other out because those people are rare.
These are friendly games there's a number of modes to play n friendlies so if you're in a game mode like New Alligences then there's a high chance you are there for an objective, as are we all. Common sense would say work together for our common goal(s) as there's no downside, no loss, no drawback to helping each other but rarely does common sense apply in the Fifa community.

Nearly made me not give away wins when I couldn’t go up a rank but I decided I’m better than that.
Usual giveaway of this type of player was coloured lines and the team nickname was liquid football or something along they lines.
I hate those kind of quitters, whats worse is i often fall behind in games, its not unusual for me to be 2,3 or even 4-0 down, thing is i keep playing and it's crazy the amount of times I have fought back (I've also thrown away many 3 goal leads as well) and then opponents quit. I fought back for no reason at all and get nothing from it
I play for fun but I guess others just can't do that all games I suppose
All I can do is speak for myself, but in the past I didn't know what gg means, I thought people would make fun of me for loosing. After I Googlef what gg meant I felt embarrassed for messages I sent back to people 😂
Never understood the hate on FP/good teams, the reason a lot of people put money into the game is because they dont have the time to stick with it which usually means are also of a lower skill level.
I put money into FUT at the start for a boost and because I cant play it as much to keep the coins up.

Saying that, someone sent me GG in Fifa 21 when teams were coming out. I was like lets hope so, but game hasn't started yet. Apparently on this occasion it mean Goldeb Goal, might have helped if they stuck a ? In there 🤣
Yeh reason i put money in was to just have fun playing no grind this and that just have team do what I want. Am half way to div 3 atm but just don't get the hate

Don't know about Sony, but Microsoft will put a 24/48-hour communication ban in place if the message contains swearing or is otherwise directly abusive. If the person gets enough warnings, they get a general communication ban for longer.
What makes it worse with FIFA is that the game is so bad and regularly favours one player over another, that you will regularly feel hard done by. And because EA say that ‘a certain something that I’m not allowed to mention’ is not in FIFA when everyone knows full well it is, you would be justified in thinking your opponent is cheating when their players are always far more responsive than yours and they batter you in game.
And for some reason so many players feel the need to rub it in, or send hatemail to make themselves feel better. I used to love getting hatemail but since starting FIFA I block all messages. Probably the nastiest gaming community of all. I thought the CoD community was bad but the FIFA community are even worse.
I remember the ‘dab’ celebration that they eventually removed due to so many people being triggered by the sight of a man sniffing his armpit. And people only used that celebration because they knew it upset people. And a lot of people used it, didn’t they?
An online game should be a fun and stress free experience.
Instead we have people pressing right from kickoff to score an early goal and then pausing expecting their opponent to quit. Now these people know it’s rude but they still do it because they get a kick out of bullying someone to quit. I don’t even consider these fools gamers because they don’t play for fun, they are just ‘anti gamers’ who just want to own those pixels of whatever objective they are doing. They don’t care about fun and they don’t want to play. And some of these idiots are doing it in Rivals and Champs now.
People abusing the ‘kickoff glitch’ to get cheap goals. These people don’t want to win fair or win in style. They know it’s a scummy tactic but they don’t care.
People taking their sweet time kicking off and then just standing there with the ball (why are so many people doing this? It’s an instant quit for me).
And the ‘triple pause’. Usually used by sore losers in Champs to waste their opponents time.
Toxicity will always be in FIFA, these ❤️❤️❤️❤️ will remain as long as EA continue to give them the tools.
My advice is: Turn off your messages. And NEVER send any kind of hatemail. Don’t be afraid to quit a game if it’s not fun, regardless of the score. And if someone is being toxic, just do whatever they don’t want you to do.
