Player switching

Pressing L1 and it wont change player, if it eventually does it take at least 5 seconds, Any suggestions or controller settings

I was getting this but then I switched to a different controller and it was fine.

Hi lads, new controller ps5 i tried both aswell, anything in controller settings i need to change or keep it all default?
