It would still be an awesome SBC, for those of us still staying on the game, to throw our higher rated rare gold/UCL fodder into.

Right now I'm pack locked with 6 90+ dupes and nothing to use them on but honestly whats the point in opening packs? There is only 3 PIMs i need to pack and the chance of getting any icon let alone any of the ones i need from a pack is just astonishingly low. I mean I have only packed 1 icon in 5 years of playing fut.
I have some of the big boys like R9, Maradona, VDS/Yashin, Roberto Carlos, Vieira, Matthius etc. from grind the 85x10 but putting all the useless fodder I will collect from here on out to just have a small chance of getting Ruud Guillet, Eusebio, Cantona, Maldini, Dalglish, Zambrotta, Garincha, Best, Carlos Alberto etc. would be awesome. Even getting something like Michael Owen would be pretty cool. Right now there are not going to be anymore meaningful rewards.
I remember staying on 18 until like Christmas and working my way through r9 as they just left all of the Icon sbc's running.
The real problem is now EA doesn't want to give any incentive to keep playing 21 so there isn't even the last TOTW which would stay in packs and what few icon sbc's that there are time out in the next weeks.
Personally I think they should just leave the top 100 in packs and leave a few sbc's like either the 85x10 or the 87x10 and a repeatable PIM sbc up permanently. Most players will still go and buy 22 and the ones who stick with 21 well EA are creating good will with a thank you for the money spent and the time you have put into the game.

I believe they do this in madden. I know i played madden 17 for 3 years and could still pack special items, and do their version of sbcs
This section is already being pushed down the page and by next week considered legacy

That's the thing it would take such little effort to show the customers you actually care about them which could actually prompt more people to buy more EA games.
But its all about money as already EA have forgotten 21 to the point where they scheduled maintenance during WL of all times so it doesn't effect the roll out of 22 next week.
Another option if you don't want to leave special cards in packs is an 80-82 rated TOTS sbc and rather than all the icon sbc's just put up one cheap PIM sbc.
It would also be great if they’d put special cards back in packs indefinitely. I won’t be holding my breath waiting for it because we all know how EA operate, but it would be a nice gesture.
